Another correction: We know perfectly well that the universe will NOT collapse onto itself. The universe will continue to expand forever. This is not even new science, it is well established by now. The 2010 Nobel Prize was even about the accelerating universe.
Correction: The Sun is not going to explode. The Sun is much too small for that, you need at least 8 solar masses for a supernova. The Sun is going to go through a Red Giant phase and then become a white dwarf.
@dcarrera01 When the sun transitions from the red giant phase to the white dwarf phase it will throw off it's outer layers suddenly. Nothing like a supernova but still you could call it an explosion.

After the Red Giant phase, the Sun will join the Horizontal Branch,. burning helium in the core and making carbon and oxygen. When the core is depleted of helium, then comes the Asymptotic Giant Branch, which has a helium burning shell. All of these phases have strong stellar winds, especially the AGB, which continues ejecting material until only the inert carbon-oxygen core is left. This core is a white dwarf.

The whole concept of a miracle by God is pretty hilarious. It's like this. God designed the laws of physics so that you would be in that very situation to be dying. So he basically designed the situation using his all-powerfulness and magicness to scare you and your family and friends into making it seem like you would die, THEN he saves you from his deathly wrath at the very last moment because he is so amazing and kind? That just sounds like a sick tease of terror.
Hehe, Deism sounds much better than Christianity... But I think it's just another "easy" explanation to the creation of the universe. The explanation is just as simple: A god created everything. There is no free will if he knows everything that is going to happen. He knows what we're going to do before we do, correct? This video highlights some of the problems when people claim God is all-merciful, ect (I've already said this bit), and how his followers praise his greatness even when he lets hundreds of others (maybe even devout followers) parish. Most atheist videos that I watch aren't attacking religion. They bring up inconsistencies and problems that religion has, and tries to sway those may think alike but are still in the closet. Also, can you name how the bible is "clearly" the truth?

Sol (The Sun) will not explode. It is not massive enough. Sol has a mass of 2*10^35 grams. It would need to have a mass of about 10^36 grams to explode.
@Walabio It will expand significantly into a red giant, most likely engulfing the inner 3-4 planets though, which some may 'consider' an explosion, even if it isnt

Correction: The Sun is not going to explode. The Sun is much too small for that, you need at least 8 solar masses for a supernova. The Sun is going to go through a Red Giant phase and then become a white dwarf.

After the Red Giant phase, the Sun will join the Horizontal Branch,. burning helium in the core and making carbon and oxygen. When the core is depleted of helium, then comes the Asymptotic Giant Branch, which has a helium burning shell. All of these phases have strong stellar winds, especially the AGB, which continues ejecting material until only the inert carbon-oxygen core is left. This core is a white dwarf.

Today's Sun is 30% hotter than when it was born. I've read an estimate that the Earth only has about 500 million years before complex life becomes impossible and the only life left is microbes.

The Sun is not going to explode. It doesn't have sufficient mass. When the helium runs out it'll not have enought gravity to keep itself together so the outer layer would separate and leave a White Dwarf there. So we'll burn to death first when the sun grows in size and then the Sun will just shrink and cool down. What an incredibly intelligently designed place to live in the universe is, right?

The whole concept of a miracle by God is pretty hilarious. It's like this. God designed the laws of physics so that you would be in that very situation to be dying. Hehe, Deism sounds much better than Christianity... But I think it's just another "easy" explanation to the creation of the universe. The explanation is just as simple: A god created everything. I am a man of science, I could not simply just be satisfied with that ideology. It sounds TOO UNLIKELY. There is no point in asking anyone to prove that there is only one god as this is begging the question because the assumption implied is that there are gods and any conclusions are based upon that assumption. Which, I'm sure you'll see is tautological. It's more interesting to compare older religions to the Jewish/Christian/Muslim "divine revelations". The ancient Egyptian neteru, for example, seem to describe very familiar hierarchies of divine beings/messengers. It's laughable, really.

Exodus also tells you how you can obtain slaves and what you can do with them including buying a little girl from her father and keeping her as a sex slave. It's everywhere in the Old Testament. @j919or There are other translations of this which changes the word "slave" into "servant" to soften the blow of how horrible and amoral these lines are. But call it whatever you like: slave or servant. Any innocent person being kept against their will to perform services to someone else that they would not otherwise have done is a slave. Plain and simple. Especially when they are told by Jesus himself to obey their masters, especially those who are cruel. It's sick.

It was a different time and it was common for men to sell their children into slavery. Moses just put limits on this practice. The Christian God is supposed to be all-loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful. This can't be true if evil exists in the world. An All-loving God doesn't let his creations suffer, an all-powerful god can keep evil from happening, an all-knowing god knows what evils will happen. He can't be all three, you have to drop one if there is sin and misery in the world. Which factor doesn't not agree with your view of your deity?

This video highlights some of the problems when people claim God is all-merciful, ect (I've already said this bit), and how his followers praise his greatness even when he lets hundreds of others (maybe even devout followers) parish. Most atheist videos that I watch aren't attacking religion. They bring up inconsistencies and problems that religion has, and tries to sway those may think alike but are still in the closet. Also, can you name how the bible is "clearly" the truth?
