I dont get why people are so obsessed with making foods that mimic foods that are unhealthy in a 'healthy' way. If you're so obsessed with the unhealthy food, eat it! Then get back to eating real food.
@fantaworld I have Celiacs disease. If I don't eat gluten free food I will ruin my intestines and have a very high risk for other problems including cancer. People like me wish we could eat real food like you. Back off.
I tried the recipe, but the pizza end up cracking and I had difficulty to turn it over to the other side. Seemed too thin. Should I have put more flour? Any suggestions what I did wrong.
This recipe looks AMAZING. As an insulin-resistant lifelong dieter, I can't wait to try it. Do you think it is it possible that the whole milk could be substituted with full-fat heavy cream? Perhaps, half the amount?
I hope you didnt eat the black stuff at your pizza. By doing so, you could have ate a regular pizza (speaking of the toxicity if we all want to be particular about it)
@IronCobra22 Actually cheese can be raw if it's made from raw milk. Primal man may or may not have had some sort of cheese (not hard to make). But there is evidence of milk (from ruminants like cows, elk, goats etc.) going back at least 30,000 years. (per The Untold Story of Milk by Ron Schmid, ND)
@IronCobra22 Ahh but dairy cattle aren't the only ruminants. Ruminants have 4 stomachs, some others you might know are: goats, sheep, giraffes, bison, moose, elk, yaks, water buffalo, deer, camels, alpacas, llamas, and antelope.
I'll see if I can find the reference but Ron Schmid talked about ancient cultures worshiping a cow goddess and evidence of milking about 30k years ago. Probably not the same cows we have today but definitley a close relative.
Great tutorial. That crust looks awesome. I have to try it when I locate the coconut flour. I just made mini pizzas on my channel using plantains as the crust but they don't look nearly as good as this.
Anyone tried adding yeast to the crust? Yeast is an important part of the flavor in bread, but it's mostly protein. Could also try a larger amount of brewer's yeast since there's little carbohydrates for the yeasties to feast on.
@dbensuaski Ground flaxseed and water is a typical substitute. Not sure if that would over do things where the recipe already calls for ground flaxseed.
I really enjoyed your presentation and added this video to my favorites list. I'm new to this kind of cooking and I'm really excited to try this omg I'm missing pizza ! Thanks for sharing !
Phenomenal!!! I didn't have coconut flour on hand, but I did have everything else and some tapioca flour. I added a little extra of both the flax and the tapioca flour to make a THICK panckake batter consistency. It was awesome. Loved having pizza again! PLUS WAY MORE FILLING THAN PRE GROK PIZZA!! So there's leftovers :)
@wenvivian2688 is Cr Colorado? Thats just for my own curiousity. Coconut flour can be found at whole foods or health stores but is expensive. It should also be available in local grocery stores in the relegated organic section. It is annoyingly expensive which is why I always recommend ordering online. Amazon is a great start and usually has free shipping. You use very little coconut flour compared to normal flour use so don't be like me and order 15 lbs or your freezer will be full like mine.
@tavious2 I don't know how to tell you to make it. The only way I have seen is people using food processors and blenders to break down shredded coconut down as close to flour as they can but I find that its not that good of a substitute.
hay man i found some flax meal and coconut flour and with 4 eggs and 1/2 cup of cocnut milk the mixture wasnt runny at all.... it was actually resembling normal flour pizza dough?
hmm maybe and extra egg and coconut milk might have to go in next time
@drummerlars In the end it comes down to personal preference on what consistency of crust you like. Altitude, oven variations, and different brands of coconut flour will alter things a bit. Just curious but how did the dough taste and turn out?

@drummerlars To be perfectly honest I haven't tried almond flour yet. You probably can, and if you try it let me know how it goes. I'd be curious to know how it turns out. My only concern is that the coconut flour absorbs a lot of the moisture and the almond flour won't so be mindful of that.

Cheese? How is this primal? Last time I checked, they didn't have ovens in the primal days. I thought primal was supposed to be all raw?
IronCobra22 5 months ago
@IronCobra22 They had fires in primal days. Those were kinda like ovens but less efficient.

@goldphysh Cows didnt even exist 30000 years ago. Cow's milk has only been around for 8000 years.

@SSedmak Yeast is a problem with people wiht SIBO or leaky gut, which is what a lot of paleo dieters have in the beginning.

I have no idea how your pizza came out so yellow. Mine came out looking like the colour of my flax meal. Either way, great crust!
