  • Come on you guys these songz may not be Mia bass songz but they were club banga's. You know when the lady's feel the groove you gonna get out there and get on it right? right? I give props to both the original Miami Bass Musik, and Atlanta bass I love my musik whether it be hip- hop, rap, bass,it defines generations I know i can't relive my 2 live crew days but i can reminisce on how i use to have fun by dancing with the ladies on the dance floor. Dj McCoy brings all those fun memories back.

  • Some of the *Representin of OLDSCHOOL HIP-HOP-Too much BOOTY IN THE PANTS* 2011 samplelin set bon automatic is CRAP RAP,todays stuff is WACK,It will never have it as good as from the years 2 Live Crew had done back to 1980's

  • Comment removed

  • Did Dj McCoy offend some of you guys or are you just haters? He's a Musician that loves music and tries new things. He wants feedback but not so negative. I'm sure the comments don't affect him but anyways @DJMcCoysince1986 what kind of needles do you use?

  • Keep up the good work I know your having fun!! Fuk da h8ters!!!

  • reminds of the of the old days, and FYI, he has head phones on FOW... he isnt saying this how they did it in the past, he is just playing some good booty shaking music...

  • Ps... This is the way it is done... as for back in the day.. tools change knowing how to cut it up has not changed... quit yer whining... dudes been at it since "86" ya think he knows there wasent always serato... he prob... like my self, have more records we have never played, than you have in your entire collection...

  • Haters... Step the fuck off this cat ... Post somthin is you think you got skillzz ....

  • this is a disgrace to a miami bass mix,,,first of all , the songs are garbage. second of all, the songs ain't from any miami bass groups, thirdly, these garbage songs which ain't from miami are from a newer generation than the old classics of miami bass. well wait a minute, the only songs worth a shit are afro-rican give it all you got and whoomp there it is by tag team

  • @joe101510151015

Ok, Lets come up with a genre that covers the miami-atlanta bass music?

  • @DJMcCoYsince1986 Southern BOOM

  • @VJPLATINO 808BREAK

  • @DJMcCoYsince1986 hey wats the song at :30-1:05 ?

  • im a dj and i really like diz mix dis something u play at a house party back in da day

  • u a dj joe?

  • @joe101510151015 Dude if you notice hey said Miami Bass he did not specify a year and if you were educated enough to catch that, you would know that all these songs he mixed are what is considered miami/ east coast bass mixes.

  • @joe101510151015 WHAT IN THE LIVING FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????

  • @joe101510151015 i know, thats what im thinking. Wheres Maggotron? MC shy d? Theres one song of 2 live crew which is the commercial song Hoochie mama , let me here some Uncle luke and some Pop that pussy

    LOL

  • @joe101510151015 I agree!!!!

  • yeahhh men¡¡¡¡

  • Also u go with Vinyl and no software! Why? u may be asking urself! BECAUSE is too show ur fuking skills on changing fast records and throwing 25 songs in 10 mins but the right way! NO cutting in the middle of it and killing it, Scratch it in and mix it for a few seconds to where it needs the cut and change vinyl and redo it! Thats all, but when u scratch u have to sound like Magic Mike, JockD or Jealous J! Anything less is WACK!!! Check out dj wars Part1 and 2

  • @djitrix No doubt, Jock D and Jealous J are 2 of the tightest DJs ever. A lot of dudes were up on Magic Mike, but Jealous and Jock never got much love outside of the FLA. I just found out this year that producer Jim Jonsin is in fact Jealous J so that made me pretty proud of him. You know?

  • I'm sorry to be the Hater but as a Miami Born Dj where is the City that created all Bass Sound this mix was fuking Wack! No dj would play "Too Much Booty in ur Pants" And u destroyed poor Luke's Miami Bass Booty Sound, U killed the Afrorican's Give it all u got! Magic Mike's Drop the bass was also totaled! Then its a must for a Miami dj to throw somewhere in the mix a fast instrumental planet rock type beat and Rip it the fuk up scratching up and transforming if not don't embarrass ur self

  • this shit is hot man! : D

  • what's the song at 4:30?

  • @mset8 My Boo - Ghost Town DJs. DJ Demp on the track representing Tallahassee. After that was Freak It by Lathun. Both of those tracks were on the SO SO Def Bass AllStars compilation.

  • cap d comin saved the best for last

  • ass, titties.. ass, titties, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass n titties!

  • Having a great day...listenng to all of them

  • i prefer using different records. But this still takes skill, good job on ur other mixes

  • dj smurf feat ying yang twinz - flaw

  • lost me st whoomp lol

  • if you grew up listening to miami bass in the mid-80's, then you know, 4-sure this AIN'T no miami bass mix.

  • @joe101510151015 and das what I'm lookin' for

  • Skillz.

  • Great mix man. Keep doing your thang. And if people knew anything about DJ'ing they would know that no one carries around crates and crates of vinyl anymore and using time coded vinyl is perfectly normal. Good job man

  • @rmdr1000 Tag Team - whoomp there it is

  • thank you very much

  • yea this reall easy when all the bpm's are the same and you dont actually have to do anything

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, it is like the blow dry and hard of prison, good work maintains, the type but the next blow of time the camera upwards behind put you or it on a tripod behind you, I' m of more than one bread roll man of foot myself

  • YEAH - YEAH - Dis is how it's DONE - Kiddies - Kiddies - bring out Note Pads and Pencils - Cause this is how it was DONE back the DAy

Do you here this - Jam after Jam - Try and do that with any track release today - No Talent Weak Azz Skilled Artist - Who haven't developed their own Style - 1st generation in 50 years with NO STYLE of their OWN -

  • Actually, this is a far cry from how it was done "back in the day". There was no Serato...no mp3's...no waveform displays.

If you wanted to mix like this you had to actually LISTEN to them while you mixed (not "watch" them), to find the cue points and you had to have proper touch coordination otherwise you'd SKIP that shit.

This is a very nice mix, but it is HARDLY how it was done in the 80's or 90's. Hardly.

  • No carrying 15 crates of records either.

  • @DJMcCoYsince1986 nobody walkin away with your records when you ain't lookin

  • @DJMcCoYsince1986 lazyyy

  • @DJMcCoYsince1986 IKR...PAIN IN THE ASS

  • @fowmoufpunk i don't think so.... the purpose of technology is to support djs, so they can work better and above all they are able to do more things at the same time....so.... my 2 cents: technology is the platform for the show, not the show itself, IMO it's wrong to judge a set on the equuipment, even if music is older than the technology :)

  • @mentok11 :: if you read the comment above mine to which I replied (drboot) he claims that "this is how it was done back in the day". And this is clearly NOT how DJing was done back in ANY day before Serato, or even Final Scratch!

What gives you any inclination that my comment has anything to do with this particular performance or the technology/equipment used to make it?

  • @fowmoufpunk

if you wanna take it back, you should only have a 2 channel mixer with no effects. i do appreciate the vinyl use tho. i still use my SL-1200 MK3's especially since at the end of the year Technics turntables will no longer be made.

i remember back in the late 70's early 80's when Grand Wizzard Theodore used to "needle drop" tracks together bcuz the MIXER hadn't been invented yet...

  • dam this shit sen me back.

  • Nice mix ..... keep it up

  • i dont get it how he connects the laptop to the tunrtables and how can he swich the songs like that

  • Inkv7@ its just a dj turntable to which u need only 2 vinyls (1 per turntable) and theres a cable to connect it to ur computer, n he uses Scratch live (serato) to mix the songs. Its quite simple if u have the accessories.

  • the first track sounds like something id bounce sakte to in the early 2000's when i was going to the skating rink

  • just computers dirty tricks

  • this mix is sick yo! keep up the good mix!!!

  • Whats up Dj McCoy, whats the first track song called? Ive heared this track afew years ago, cant remember the name..

  • Not too bad, considering how quick your changing tracks, but I'd still like to see you work on your beat syncing. Goes off often. It's a bit rough. Not trying to be a smart ass, just some constructive criticism.

DJ Rob from MIA here, since 1988.
