I got to see Tiny live at a small hotel in Waterloo Iowa about 1972 or so. He was great. There were only about five of us there, but he put on the performance of a lifetime. One of my biggest regrets in life is NOT stopping to speak with him after. I was just too stunned and in awe!
I met him when he was playing the Circus in the mid '80's, we followed him outside after his set). I got some autographs but, I wish I had taken some photo's. yeah, he had a flask and was drinking a bit but he was a very friendly person and made us feel good. god Bless Tiny Tim!!!!!
So lovely this man was. I introduce his music to my child and he have learn in one day to appreciates this man music to the point that he says "This guy was a genius" can see how genious this guy was. And he was.
I just love this song...Sad I only meet him through his song Tip toe throuth the Tulip because of the scary movie Insidious, and I ended up reading about his life, and watching all of his videos here in youtube that people haad posted. And I feel sad that the way he die and I hope that he had a happy life. Because he seems that he was a great singer, but not only that he seems that he was so kind and polite like full of love to thers. You don't see celebrities like that much this days.
He was probably the most misunderstood man in the world. What was so great about him was he was different and yet he seem to overcome the way the world looked at him. I applaud him.
Did Tiny Tim write this song? It's wonderful, and it tells his story in a cheerful way that encourages everyone who hears it! I remember wishing that Johnny Carson had asked him more about the song.
Absolutely fabulous. Please upload as many as you can. Tiny is a personal idol of mine, love his music, absolutely fabulous. He is the reason i took up ukulele playing. THANK YOU
