  • the problem with this exercise is that for an average fit guy this produces no burn or exhaustion at all...for me at least i still like the superman even though i took what you said into account cervelo...typically when doing exercises you'll feel very quickly whether you should or should not be doing it....superman feels right....tell me again what its damaging?

  • You don't need to damage your muscles in order to benefit from an exercise.

Not all of the strength improvement from exercise comes from hypertrophy; some comes from neurological adaptation.

That said, I prefer Bird Dogs.

  • Maria says thank you - she is 38 years old with a 7-year old and a 4-year old.

  • Next time spell Pedophile right.

  • This is a back 'stabilizer' exercise - working the small muscles close to the spine.

Try not to arch the back as you lift the leg.

  • Is it safe to work one side completely and then start on the other side?

  • Will this exercise get rid of lower back pain and uneven back muscles?

  • Yes, the 'uneven back muscles' is an example of muscular hypertrophy in response to spinal instability.

Focus on abdominal stabilizers and core muscles, such as the transverse abdominals, pelvic floor muscles and the multifidii.
