And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (Deuteronomy 6:5).
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. (Luke 10:27).
Where did "with all thy mind" in the KJV rendition of Deuteronomy 6:5 go?
The word unicorn is translated from the word rĕ'em (רְאֵם) in Numbers 23:22, Numbers 24:8, Deuteronomy 33:17, Job 39:9, Job 39:10, Psalms 22:21, Psalms 29:6, Psalms 92:10, and Isaiah 34:7.
However, the word rĕ'em (רְאֵם) is stated as signifying an auroch, an extinct bovine.
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19).
The KJV is not a bad translation of the Bible, but just like any other translator or translation, it has the potential to mistranslate. However, we should study the Hebrew and Greek since that is the original language of the Scriptures. Proponents of the King James Only Movement such as the Independent Fundamental Baptists usually lack a thorough understanding of the Hebrew and Greek.
@Kyouryuu5000 The whole point is that someone has already done the translation. William Tyndale who was rewarded by being burned at the stake for his efforts by the Catholic Church. The KJV finishes the work he started. We do not need to study the Greek or the Hebrew, we have the English. No need to reinvent the wheel.
@YahushuaIsElohiym I don't read the NIV, I only quote from it when I'm messing with KJV Onlyists because it's their go-to bible to hate on. When you say 'many bible verses in the KJV are missing in [bible translation X]' you've already presupposed the KJV bible is the standard by which we should measure others. I reject this idea. I could just as easily accuse the KJV of adding to the word of God and then call it corrupt. Go to the website in the description section to educate yourself.
Thanks for posting this video and showing the major errors of the King James Only Movement. We could say that those people in the King James Only Movement are adding to the Word of God.
Don't the translators of the KJV OT use the Masoretic Text, while the lawyer and other NT characters quote from the Septuagint?

And it had come to the point that even the copies were discussed instead of the word of the first version...

The NIV Bible is bad. Many verses in the King James Version Bible are missing in the NIV.
The KJV is the best to have. All the other Bibles are corrupt.
