I don't believe abortion is a crime, nor that it is a sin. I believe that it is a last resort to many and perhaps an easy way out for some. If you want to do something about it you might want to start at school with more and better sex-education. To make kids think more and harder about their choices, and giving them some. Promote the use of condoms. In doing so you will make sure that less abortions are performed every minute.
They have tried all that and it doesn't work. The best way to go about doing that that is to get parents involved in helping their children make the best choices for themselves. Unfortunately, that's asking too much these days.

You're right, there's a lot of Christians out there who are also trying to "engineer." To the extent that people become deceived about what choices are available to them and the true nature of those choices, people become unhappy and disempowered. You're right, she can choose to use birth control. And that's a choice too. But birth control is never 100% effective. I also don't think a good way of not falling off a cliff is to get as close to the edge as possible, which is what the whole liberal majority teaches. I also allow that giving your baby up for adoption is a fine answer to a previously bad choice.
Just so long as you're not saying that I'm being too picky because I believe that murder isn't a good way to solve a societal ill?

I remind you that abstinence isn't 100% effective either. It's not going to protect you from rape. And like it or not, people most people aren't going to listen when you tell them not to have sex. And you know what? It's strong enough to forget about a baby! The LEAST we can do is tell them about condoms so when the time comes that they inevitably break their pledge, they'll at least know how important it is to use condoms. Sure, not everyone will use them, but they're going to do it anyway.

I don't believe abortion is a crime, nor that it is a sin. I believe that it is a last resort to many and perhaps an easy way out for some. If you want to do something about it you might want to start at school with more and better sex-education. To make kids think more and harder about their choices, and giving them some. Promote the use of condoms. In doing so you will make sure that less abortions are performed every minute.
