  • nice video.

  • Loved haveing a Dane as a walking/jogging partner!

  • Aren't dogs usually ecstatic for walks? I keep the leash on a hanger near the door, and when my dog wants to walk, he actually leaps up and grabs the leash, finds me, and brings it to my hand.

  • @scaIpeI That shows how little you know Great Danes - and giant breeds, ha! ha! These dogs are famous for being lazy and unmotivated about most things. Other people can't even whisper "walk" - whereas Honey never gets very hyper for anything. Doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy it. It's just different personalities. It's what makes them such placid, easy-going dogs to live with - but also what makes them difficult to train because they have a lot less motivation to do things compared to other dogs.

  • I love Great Danes!!!!!!!! they are soooooooooooooooo cool!

  • The off leash area always so dead like that ? Here it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day I go there's always at least one other dog usually many for Raven (my dane) to paly with. :D

  • ER I only disliked this video because of the choke coller! That should only be for show not use!

  • @Jessica141996 It's not even a choke its a chain collar. I use a pinch on my Dane anytime I take her outside of the apartment.

  • lovely dane... my great dane loves to go outside but when we try to take her back inside she refuses to move and if we try make her move she starts trying to bite... e are trying to get this out of her but we dont now hat to do.. please please help.. it would be much appreciated.. look at my video of her :-D

  • She's so beautifuL!!! <333

  • Such a BIG dog. She seems like she might be bigger than most danes.

  • Call me crazy, but I think I vaguely recognize the area you walked through at 1:45. I have relatives in Auckland who I haven't visited in years but would really love to. They own a black lab named 'Wizard'.

  • Great Danes are so smart and as long as you're consistent you can teach them anything. My Great Dane, Deuce, is the same way. He waits for my command for anything from going out the door, coming in the door, getting out of the car, drinking and eating. EVERYTHING. Ill never own a different breed.

  • Honey is very good with kids. The kids seem to like you also, and I think you like them. You seem like a nice person, and your love for your dog is very nice. And your husband's love for you is charming. I think you found a good man. :)

  • you have an amazing dog.....cherish every moment you have with her! Truly an amazing dog!

  • your great dane is well trained!

  • Must be a comfy bed! I had a bed like this for my border collie, but he tore it up...

  • Honey is such a great dog, and she is lucky to have such a dedicated person to train her!

  • did u teach her yourself? she is wondefull

  • How did you teach her where she had to stop, and couldn't go before saying 'ok' ? :)

    Very nice.

  • Through consistency and repetition - Honey knows the "Wait" command so I always said this on opening the front door and then her release word "OK" - if she stepped through first, she was called back and had ot wait until she got her release word. After a while, I started testing her by opening the door but not saying "Wait" - and praised her LOTS if she didn't step through by herself. Now, it has become habit.

  • wow, the accents are just charming.

  • I like how she was sleeping in the beginning. Isabelle does the same thing. Honey is so sweet with those kids! I love that part! Honey is such a good girl! You have done a wonderful job with her!

  • Honey! You are so brave! I would have FREAKED OUT at those human pups and that labradork and those joggers and, your mom is a very special person to help you get out and about like that.

I was kind of mad that she made you get out of bed, though. You looked very busy.

    Slobbers,

    Mango

  • It's beautiful there! You're lucky you get to live in such a marvelous place! Is English the primary language there? I just ask because the kids were speaking English and the signs I saw were also in English.

  • Ha! Ha! Yes, of course - we're in New Zealand! Which is an English-speaking country and populated primarily by Caucasians, although there are signigicant numbers of native Maori and also other immigrants, like Asians. Sorry - where did you think we were?? :-)

  • I feel stupid now! I new you were in New Zealand, but I used to know a guy from New Zealand and I always just assumed the accent he had was because he spoke a different native language, besides English, and I didn't want to ask because I didn't know him that well... I feel dumb now. I am seriously thinking of going there on vacation!

  • Hee! hee! Don't worry! Kiwis do speak English with a funny accent, if you're not used to it - especially Kiwis from the South Island - we really struggle to understand them! Oh, definitely do come on holiday - this is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, very wild, untamed and unspoilt, especially the South Island. Great if you enjoy hiking & also adrenalin activities (Kiwis are No1 for thinking up crazy stuff to do!) I'd be happy to give suggestions if you're serious - let me know!

  • gorgeous big girl

  • Hi Honey,

Your bed looks so soft and cozy, which is certainly very convenient, just right for rainy weather that we have today in Berlin.

When the weather I made round a street and we were in the building, which I always find super great.

Beautiful description "checking pee mail", people here say "read the newspaper" ...

    Slobbers,

    Anton die Dogge

  • ...such a sweetie...thank you...

  • yes she is very beautiful...
