No game has before or since moved me emotionally the way shenmue did.

Old Sega is dead due to the fact they were clueless on how to market anything let alone an epic like Shenmue on the DC. This game should've changed the world of video games forever.

I pray that they don't. I have confidence in Yu Suzuki, but zero confidence in Sega's overall management, and their board of directors. Sega needs whoever the hell it had during the Genesis and NONE of the people who had no idea about the NA market.

Also, this version is played on poorly-crafted modern Chinese instruments, and thus, suffers from the attributes of something made quickly, and in mass-production. Much like my Lackberry Bold.

I never thought I would actually hear the Shenmue and Shenhua's theme on an ACTUAL Chinese fiddle. Yuzo Koshiro's rendition was done on a synthesizer believe it or not, that was IMITATING a Chinese fiddle, however it wasn't a real one. Hearing this on a real Chinese fiddle is surreal.

I think the only way left to see a continuation of this saga is through remakes of the originals. And oh yes i would buy all 16 chapters on any console they came out on. My last console was a dreamcast and even though it died playing shenmue i will not buy anything else till we see some compensation from sega(i own shenmue 1&2 x2). We commited and still stand by a story which we knew was not going to finish anytime soon. It's not a niche title. Sega didn't market it properly. Sega pay your dues.
