Good one Jeff. I like it. My own son Jay, as you will know, has now made it to the dizzy age of 17 :-) and I am still able to enjoy his company! Today he secured his long awaited apprenticeship. He set himself the challenge and personally visited business after business, never giving. Today it paid off. He is a happy bunny! I don't need to draw parallels. The lesson is very clear. Keep the faith and in time the reward will come. Great job. Another brick in the wall?

Life has a dark side as we all know. Last Saturday (11th May) I received a call from my son - he had just pulled himself out from under a car driven by a young woman who could not be bothered to do that rather basic but rather fundamental observation. His motorbike is probably beyond economic repair and he is walking wounded (minor fracture or sprain of the ankle). I am grateful that things were not worse but disturbed at how vulnerable we all are to the gross negligence of others.

So sorry to hear about last Saturday's events Richard but nevertheless, relieved to hear that Jay escaped what could have been like the end of your world. We are indeed vulnerable, assuming, that if we take safety precautions we will be "safe" We rarely cast a thought to what can happen as a result of another's negligence.
