  • prefer this one to the new one the new one is to dam heavy

  • BADASS!

  • What recoil?

  • "ummm oh yeah, i have to charge it" OMG... this guy needs to go do some PT too.

  • i wasn't feeling the shorty guy either, but it was the first m1a i found.

it was slightly used, and at 8bills the right price. and now i wouldn't give it up for anything. i removed all the socom junk from it, added the front sling swivel and a standard upper hand guard. this video, for as good as it is, still does not show the full fire ball it produces. it will roast a winnie or marshmellow. it is also insanely loud. this video was shot at a 200 yard range, and it had no problems reaching out.

  • holy shit i want that

  • That is the biggest flame I evar saw.

  • Wow. Beastly.

  • Im not really digging the 16 inch barrel. I think they should have at least went with 18 inches.

  • @TheDragoonDude thats what she said

  • pause at 00:21

  • @THEMASKEDBRIT OMG nice muzzle flash!!!!!!

  • beautiful gun

  • Do you know of a good dot sight for an m1A? Would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help

  • That is an awesome gun, and I would love to have one, having said that. What is the purpose of a .308 rifle with a 16 in barrel? It doesn't have the long range capability of a normal length M1A, and its still a really heavy gun compared to an AR-15 or an AK-47, and at close range both those rounds have more than enough stopping power. Just wondering? I still think its a badass gun.

  • @Blown4banger Think the requirement came from the military / spec-ops who wanted a little more punch for close encounters. Also, .308 will do a much better job on vehicle-born tangos and will also go through walls. The terminal ballistics tell the story better than I can. It is one heavy MF though. 16.25" or not. Helps with the recoil though, and the muzzle compensator is actually effective. Good question:-)

  • "I'm going to fire mine on my vacation next week and, in the near future, plan to kill some wild hogs with it down here in TX!"

  • Lovely video! Great shooting! Great handling! The best gun ever! Favorite*

  • Nice crisp clear video! Thanks for sharing love the Springfield .308

  • This is an amazingly clear video. HD? Anyway, awsome rifle man. I just picked up the standard version and can pick it up in a few days. Im fired up!!

  • @bschuske

No HD, just a Sony camcorder on a tri-pod. I agree though, it does take a nice freaking video.

Most importantly, congratz on your soon to be had M1A!

  • @r1ngmasta Isn't the M1A and the M14 nearly the same thing?

  • @TRAUMAeagle

I believe so. I haven't played with an issued M14 but from my understanding they are the samething.

  • Very nice rifle,if you dont mind me asking but what was the price on it?

  • Here they run like 1500/1600 for the SOCOM

You can get a standard M1A for like 12-1400

  • An M1A can be had for around $1500 USD. Different flavors vary in cost a small margin. The big cost difference is from a Standard, National Match, and Super National Match

  • omg dude i want one but thats expensive xD

  • Brian GOOD SHOOTING have the socom 2 it rocks and very load!!

  • Nice heavy brush carbine. Anybody that goes up against that SOCOM is going to lose.

  • huge fireball

  • awesome.

  • Can't see a damn thing when you are sitting next to it trying to shoot tho... lol
