You know, the main reason why Malate and the rest of Metro Manila gets flooded every time a storm or typhoon makes landfall is because you Filipinos throw your trash (basura) and junk on the streets of Metro Manila and on the canals and esteros that crisscross the whole metropolis, which is why the sewer system ALWAYS gets clogged with trash that you guys threw on the streets instead of in the trash cans.

But still the government could have prepared for such calamity by identifying potential trouble areas - if a super typhoon do hit these areas - and allocating money for moving affected citizens to safety. Don't give your money to ABS-CBN instead give to the Red Cross, an accredited international organization. If you give to ABS--CBN, it will only go to the Lopez Foundations. And its gone.
Let the Lopezes use their own money if they really want to help. Or they (Lopez) should give the people a break on their water or electricity bills, since they own those companies!

I'll be honest. I initially intended to just share my experience on how I would be able to get the stuff that I need because at that hour, I never realized that this video would become viral. 1. Secularize the country. Separation of State and Church.
2. Shut up the priests and fat bishops and fat cardinals so the government can instill real policies to make the economy grow and stop population boom.
3. Implement real population control to stop environmental destruction.
4. Plant more trees to control flooding and mudslides.
There are already several islands that disappeared in the Pacific this decade you are next.

I'm not living in the Phil. anymore ;yet, I felt the impact of this typhoon. I could only help by truly chanting "NAM MYOHO RENGGE KYO".
