  • This show was hysterical!

  • Whoa and i loved night court and never put two and two together how odd omg its 2012 and i just now recall that esp from that show.. Sad

  • wasn't the judge in steven king's IT?

  • God I miss this show. Wish someone would bring it back and reair it. It was my favorite growing up. What happened to the good shows like this? Thank the government.

  • Back when sitcoms didn't have fags and whores in them and were actually funny.

  • So cool having two Star Trek actors together. Brent (Data) and John (Klingon on Star 3)

  • Brent Spiner is a very good actor, but only if he parts are well written unlike Star Trek Generations.

  • Oh wow, Brent Spiner is a great actor!! Very underrated.

  • This is brilliant writing....loved the Wheelers. In any other show the joke would have been over when they showed the money in the can but adding that line about the necco wafers was just icing on the cake.

  • People who only know about Night Court because of 30 Rock have no soul.

  • like this if watching because of 30 rock

  • There's a Klingon there too!

  • @johnnyLikeVideo Yeah, also a WWII Marine Aviator.

  • we ate the necco wafers! lol!!!!!!!

  • We were seduced by the glammer of it all.

  • Star what? This is Spiner's greatest role.

  • I remember watching this episode and many other episodes these two were in and always loves them. I remember watching Star Trek next generation and seeing Data and saying, "Hey that's the guy from Night Court!"

    I love 80's television...

  • Ah. This was when TV was watchable. The good ole days.

  • Two of my favorite actors standing next to each other!

    I love Night Court.

  • I have to agree this is funny, but let's be honest it's not the role that got him famous the way he is. We all know he was Data and that put him on the map.

  • Funny.... This isn't star trek...

  • DUDE I actually rmember this episode!!!!

  • My God, how the hell did he keep a straight face that long?!?! LOL

  • @nordy2010 He's a professional and great actor :)

  • That was the funniest shit I've seen in a long f'ing time.

  • LOL this show is funny I'm surprised I never watched it before

  • Harry does his best Jack Benny impersonation at 2:34

  • HA HA !!! i remember them on the show!!!!

  • That was actually funny

  • Markie Post id so do her 20 years ago

  • which fucking idiot says this is the role that made spiner famous?

  • I can't wait for the homestuck shitstorm.

  • lol i luv brent spiner!!

  • What the heck was Granny up to before she died!?!?!

  • @MrWrongsalive That's what I wanna know XD! Gawd, I remember this show lol. It was on when I was a little kid, I remember watching it with my grandparents lol. I don't remember this episode though.

  • @MrWrongsalive Oh, about 80, 85...

  • Brent Spiner Autographed a 8/10 from this show for me. Awesome!!!!!

  • I remember this episode. I never put it together that Brent Spiner played both these roles.

  • I am always confusing John de Lancie (Q) and John Larroquette,(sp?) and now I remember why.

  • So how did this role make people think, "Hey! He could play a highly ntelligent android!"

  • WOW, OMG WOW! My life is better because of this video.

  • WOW. I never would have thought that was him if I'd watched it without knowing who it was. I think I vaguely remember them though.

  • @ihavesexforhappymeal I know what you mean! I was a big fan of Night Court, and remember this episode, and also of Star Trek TNG but I never put the two together until this moment! Kudos to the actor Brent Spiner for being so versatile!

I did, however, pick him out of a Cheers episode. And I said "Hey everyone! Look! That's Brent Spiner on Cheers! Data! Look!" and Everyone said, "Oh shut up."

    So I did.

  • Great video. How does he keep a straight face while he's saying this stuff. Night Court was awesome, I miss Harry Anderson. And why did they have to give Markie Post such god-awful hair?

  • He also played Dr.Okium(I think thats right)on the movie Independence Day.He was the doctor with long hair and glasses at area 51 when the President first landed after the alien attack. He ran and shook the Presidents hand and said "Real nice to see ya,they don't let us out much" Pretty cool flick

  • @profsat5 Okun. :P

  • @BoAScorpius Yep thats it. Thanks!

  • @profsat5 You're welcome!

  • Brent's been known long before this... Look up "Saturday in the Park With George"

  • aperson's right, it was Data that made him famous.

  • Umm, the role that made him famous is Data. . . .

  • Am I the only one who thinks that young Brent Spiner kinda looks like Adrian Brody? :-D

  • I wouldn't call him famous. Most of us had to google his name just to remember who he was.

  • @SUPPORTOUTBREAK3 your under 30 aren't you. Let me guess had it been Snooki or someone of that 'caliber' you would know the name...

  • @XiahouJoe lol. Just cause I'm under 30 doesn't mean I wont know people that did old roles like this guy. And as for Snooki. That's retarded.

  • @SUPPORTOUTBREAK3 I rest my case

  • @XiahouJoe nice to know

  • OMG Is that Brent? Wow.. I didn't know that!

    THAT IS SOOO COOL!

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.

  • The role that really made him famous was his role in Claud Dallas, not this.

  • A couple of people who went on to become big name actors in this one scene.

  • "we ate the Necco Wafers"

  • this is the best show ever !!!!!

  • How can you not like night court?

  • what year was that ?

  • We love you Spiner!! Gosh he's just as cool in that show as he is in the others. Try checking him out in FRESH HELL, a you tube video he made, they are a bit odd.. Just saying... Jokes about clothingless people... But if your fine with that, check it out.

  • I miss Night Court.

  • I'm pretty sure that you can't really call Brent Spiner famous. In the world of Star Trek, yes, he's probably one of the most well known actors, but ask anyone other than a Trekkie "Who's Brent Spiner?" and they won't have a clue.

  • Check out after 1:36, as soon as Brent Spiner says, "We were seduced by the glamour of it all," Dan Fielding is clenching his teeth REALLY hard. No doubt trying to hold in the laughter. Brent Spiner is priceless!

  • UYD!

  • ROFLMAO!

  • The illegal detonation of poultry? lol

  • ...this is the least professional courtroom ever

  • i wouldn't have known it was him.he This show was funny

  • 1987

  • what year was that ?

  • One of the big reasons Star Trek TNG did very well was because it had great actors like Spiner on the show.

  • OMG I watched this all the time when I was a kid and remember Bob and June but didn't realize it was data until now.

  • Ritchie from IT.

  • I swear, his voice surely doesn't change much over the decades! Would have taken me a while to figure out, "Who IS that, I know I know him from somewhere...." Thanks for posting!

  • sooo good.

  • he used to be a vegan i hope he still is.

  • Laugh track is a bit much

  • "No, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars."

    *Gasp!*

"We ate the necco wafers." LOL

  • Harry Anderson channels Jack Benny at 2:25

  • I LOVE DATA

  • This laugh track is terrible. I'm glad its use is on the decline.

  • I would love to have seen the taping of this scene... I'll bet it took HOURS from everyone cracking up.

  • He was great in Independence Day, also....

  • Didn't Markie Post look EXACTLY like Olivia Newton John at the time?

  • Brent Spiner channels Tim Conway = AWESOME

  • genious!!!

  • :50 I swear there's something living in her hair... o.O

  • 35 people here don't have the knack for "animal husbandry"

  • I think I've seen that character he's playing in the ST episode Fistfull of Data's.

  • Jesus, that laughter.

  • The 1980s will never die!

  • MMMmmmmm. NECCOooooooooos

  • One of the best and most ignored series ever. Brilliant.

  • I have a dream... I'm standing naked against a brick wall and Markie is throwing raw hamburger at me wearing a black bikini, uhhh nirvana peace at last.....

  • Possibly one of the best actors i have ever seen!

  • Anone remember the TNG Episode "Fistfull of Datas?" My dad remember's this episode and that's the accent he used in that episode which actually was one of the best TNG episodes of all time!

  • @likestallwomen I think it's also the one he used in "Momma's Family" in it's early run. :)

  • @likestallwomen I was thinking exactly that when I watched that episode the other day!

  • @likestallwomen lol yeah ive seen that one. I wouldnt say it was the best, but it was a really good episode :)

  • @likestallwomen first thing i thought of when i heard him talk hahaha

  • I"ve loved "Bob" since day One on "Night Court." When TNG came out, first thing I noticed about one character: "That's BOB!" The one where he's speaking Spanish when a woman's having not one, not two but TRES BABES is hysterical, lol, when he's telling the father in a US southern-accented español.

  • This is great

  • When the judge asks "what happened to the worms?", I was half-expecting to hear Spiner say "The Klingons took them and made them into Gagh."

  • I love Brent Spiner, but why was this show ever popular? It's painfully unfunny.

  • @bewildebeest It was the 80's!

  • "We" at the Neco Wafers? "I" ate the Neco Wafers woul have been much better. and then if she would have looked in, too, but didn't see em and got all mad. That would have been a funnier ending.

  • Damnit WORF , stop messing with the HOLODECK !!!!

  • @azyaninvasion Yeah, that does explain this clip. Kligons are notoriously known for being the biggest pranksters! Good job, Sleuth! :-)

  • The computerized laughing is rather annoying.

  • Oh I always liked the wheelers. they were hilarious!!

  • @piecemeal64

"Will we ever see Disney World, Daddy?"

"Never in a million years, son."

I even LOL remembering -- and for the detractors, N/C was a HILARIOUS show for its day.

  • omg i couldnt stop laughing

  • Oh brent you can eat my neco waffers anytime XD

  • Whenever I see Night Court now I just keep seeing Bill Clinton Tapping Marki Post's sweet ass.

  • Wow, Brent Spiner is cute and I didn't even know.

  • Oh Man My brothers and I use to watch this all the time this show was soooooo good!

  • We ate the neco whaffers

  • this ISN'T the role that made brent spiner famous.when brent spiner did this role no one had ever heard of him.(i visited new york city the year this was made,1986 and i never heard of brent spiner at the time).if i had heard of him i would have visited where he was living at the time:41 west 89th st.n.y.c..but i DIDN'T know who he was.brent spiner doesn't become famous until he plays data the next year(1987).

  • @betterinformed. Oh poppycock. As soon as I saw Data for the first time, I called to my dear wife Mabel. I said "Mabel, break out them Necco Wafers. The Wheelers are a comin' to dinner."

  • This show was so good.

  • The voice is definitely Brent! I always thought of him as a very good and POWERFUL actor.

  • He got skills son.

  • This just proves Brent Spiner's versatility. LOVE IT.

  • Y'know, I haven't watched this show since I was too young to watch movies with the world "damn" in them. I thought it would be like a lot of other shows I watched as a kid and be less funny than I remember. It's actually way funnier than I remember.

  • Data

  • I forgot about this show.

  • Hey that judge is that guy who played the grown up version of Richie (Seth Green) in Stephen King's It.^^

  • Why isn't Brent Spiner getting work?! He's a brilliant actor.

  • @tecksipport i wonder about that too

  • @tecksipport not jst him, the whole cast was talented

  • @tecksipport signing autographs is easy money

  • @tecksipport Agreed. I love him sooo much. I don't remember seeing him in anything since Independence Day. I heart Data.

  • @TheNonBeliever82 He's in one one of those bad spoof movies, "Superhero Movie" i think.

  • @tecksipport I think he's retired.

  • @tecksipport Maybe he is retired. He is like 60 now.

  • @tecksipport

Yeah Brent Spiner is awesome. Though I've noticed that it's sometimes difficult for actors to find work after becoming TOO famous for ONE role, and he will forever be Data to most people, so that might be part of the reason. :(

Same with pretty much any Star Trek actor.

  • @AnotherSchmoe yep think Patrick Stewart is the only one to break out of star trek. but of course NOW hes known for Charles Xavier and will be stuck at that now

  • @tecksipport for the same reason ron weasley will never get work anymore either.

  • @pretzelzetzel ...Rupert Grint did the most movies out the 3 Harry Potter main actors that WEREN'T Potter films.

  • @tecksipport I just saw him in ALPHAS this week! check out FRESHHELL on YouTube. The first ep. is a bit weird, and I haven't looked at the rest yet. He's doing other work, which he mentioned at the ST Vegas Khan last month. Just keep watching for his name to pop up, he's around for sure! PEACE...

  • @tecksipport lol I think you underestimate Brent Spiner's acting history. Check out IMDB dot com, he's got tons of jobs done.

  • @tecksipport

he probably has enough money from next gen. royalties

  • @tecksipport once you do star trek your career is over.

  • @tecksipport He's on Alpha's on SyFy and just saw him do a guest shot on The Big Bang Theory where he replaced Wil Wheaton on Sheldon's "mortal enemies list".

  • only data can keep a straight face while making you ROFL

  • huh...

    this is actually funny...

    i'm speechless

  • Markie Post.

    Holy.

    Mother.

    Of.

    God!

  • Brent Spiner in the role that made him famous?

    Nah.

Data is that role. But I'll give it to you since this character is the same as the ones he played on Fist Full of Datas. ;)

    Thanks for sharing

  • Where can I find the full episode? Really well done!

  • WHY WHY WHY does the judge remind me of an adult version of Brighton from the nanny, i mean he really does

  • I remember this one. I had no idea that was Brent Spiner. Yeay!

  • That dude who was yuk-ing it up on the laugh track was almost as funny as the clip itself, lol! I miss NC too!

  • I find it funny that John Larroquette and Brent Spiner are standing next to each other. Both appeared in incarnations of Star Trek. John played a klingon on Star Trek III - The Search for Spock and Brent of course as Data in TNG.

Night Court was great...I miss that show.

  • @LogicalFantasy Which Klingon? because I know that Christopher Lloyd played a Klingon.

  • @o0gi3b00gi3 I beleive the name of the Klingon that John played was called "Maltz".

Near the end of the movie, he was the only Klingon officer left on the bridge of the bird of prey when everyone got off the Genesis planet. You may remember one of his last lines where he said, "I do not deserve to live..."...To which Kirk replied..."Fine, I'll kill you later...".

  • My mind was just blown. I had no idea that was Brent until now. I used to love Night Court, and I know the character well hahahaha

    Brent is the best.

  • I see some of the holograpic Data (the one in the jail cell) from "A Fistful of Datas."

  • I remember my parents watching this was I was really young. Never realized how funny it was!

  • oh and i see no brent spiner...

  • I love the fact that the judge is trying not to laugh. I would love to see bloopers of this show. I bet those were fucking hilarious.

  • 2:37 facepalm

  • "We ate the Neko wafers."

  • Brent was one of my favorite random characters

  • "Illegal detonation of.... Poultry"

  • O! WoW! i Remmeber When He Was on Night Court He was Funny on that TV Show .

  • lmao i loved him in this character!

  • mmm American humour yuck !

  • @omegadeep hate to tell you but Paul Rodriguez and his ilk ARE AMERICAN.....the greatest comedians of all time ARE AMERICAN......

  • @CJShameless you have it wrong too, everyone's idea of what is funny is different! no country or culture has the monopoly on comedy! maybe that is why people frown on american comedy, because of the attitude of those like you. some of your best comedians are actually canadian, ya know. every country has great comedy! mankind likes to laugh! do not turn it into some kind of fight, some kind of war. we have enough of that already in the world! u miss the point when u get defensive.....

  • @omegadeep all countries have their great comedies. if you can't appreciate that you are missing out. this show was unique and off the wall. i enjoy comedies from many different cultures, get over yourself! comedy elitists are sad, like any other who judge by the cover. open your mind! oh and i am not american so i am not just defending my country, i am defending good comedy!
