How can you say that? The Neverending Story was one of my favorite movies when i was a kid.

Obviously kids can withstand movies like the Neverending Story without being scarred for life. It's NOT up to you to say whether a fantasy film is for children or not. Leave that to the parents and the experts.

Now, the novel was dark. It had more blood and gore in it and was a much more complex read.

The movie is fine for kids to watch.

Not really. The whole idea is that Bastian *does* have a right to be a kid while he's a kid, but that he needs to learn how to be not just an adult, but an adult with character, while he's growing. He needs to take responsibility for his actions and learn to meet life head-on. Of course, he's still a child, so he needs to learn these skills in ways suited to a child--such as through fantastical worlds and compelling characters, like in The Neverending Story.

I Love this song, I wish she had continued singing and acting but unfortunity it's the lone move she's made, but she has truely brought the childlike empress to life. I have and will always have her image whenever I think of the angelic childlike empress.
