She's very comfortable in front of a mike - always the sign of a real artist - rather than simply aping the contrived posturing that permeates the stage performances of the likes of so many of today's so-called pop artists. Pop isn't my thing by any stretch of the imagination but I'm always interested in hearing those people that the music media ignore because they don't conform to their particular idea of what's 'in' and what 'sells'. I'd pay the price of a ticket to see her.
I actually prefer these acoustic versions to her album. I'm a heavy metal fan, so I'm not into the digitised pop sound, but I LOVE her voice and a lot of the songs on the album. Hearing them this way or live in general, is great!
She has one of the most natural and soothing vibratos I've ever heard. And soul. Cream will float to the top. Sometimes it just needs time.

This was simply fantastic. She really does have such an extensive range when she slows down. This version strikes me as very melancholic.
