im 14 and listen to all genres, almost all pop today (excluding some bands/artists) is in my opinion complete shit. metal has more substance, has better lyrics and more emotion. some people who listen to pop/rap think theyre rebelling against the system by doing the things pop artists sing about. i know metal is just another side of the coin, but at least its musicians playing their instruments and singing, who have talent, not barbie dolls with computerised voices.
