I remember this, I felt really sorry for them both. Once Amanda buzzed them it put them completely off key. I wonder sometimes do the producers set people up to fail, they shouldn't tell the acts what they have to sing. They probably wished the ground would swallow them up, I would feel the same. He has to be able to take criticism. It's part of the show to be buzzed in the middle of the act if the judges feel that it is not worthy. It's not like they were asked to stop because Simon did not like the song. There was an understandable reason why they were buzzed, and it's not worth getting a hot head about it. Besides Amanda is a pushover for the young male acts, and usually allows a lot to slide for them, and she was the first to call it off. That might say something.

Reminds me of that live version Sum 41 did at Reading 2002 of that song they did on the Spiderman soundtrack. Each band member takes it in turns to sing and each voice after the other made it sound disjointed. They also failed to sing in tune and it had that plastic-like feeling to it.
