this documentary is a sham.

the intellectuals were on the side of the democratic republic 1st and hated the "fascist movement".

This was proven by the fact that during the war the republic side were more likely to have injuries treated by real doctors.

Does everyone know that the fascists were anti capitalist as well..... it seems to be a side note in this documentary.

If Fal Conde the gutless wonder with the Carlists had not shit his pants then the Basques would have united with Navarra and declared independance from Spain. They were both ideologically committed to liberating the Catalans and the combined economic powerhouse of a Navarre Cataluna confederacy would have remained and been impossible to beat.
