I looked out to your videos and everyone is from Metal, but Metal very Heavy, like Death Metal, Black Metal, Speed Metal, etc

I play drums but... I play easier songs

just like Industrial Metal, Horror Pun and Hard Rock

I think maybe I will never play a song of Death Metal for example

  • Thank you!

  • u should make some solos dude

  • Dude, you are speeding it up and down....it sounds funny. I cant do it better tho, cuz i do not play drums. But anyway! :P

  • its hard to follow mp3 on your ears when playing accustic drums believe me.

  • True dat

  • @Betrion if you have a good earphones u can play listening mp3 easilly thats what i do to learn songs..

  • sick dude. do you have any advice on getting up to the double bass speed you do at 1:30? i can go pretty fast but i can't hold it for that long. any suggestions on speed and consistency?

    thanks.

  • I'd say practice 16th notes to a metronome (if you have one, 'cause I don't haha). Play at a tempo a bit higher than where you don't get tired and then increase the tempo when you feel for it.. Try to be relaxed in both of your feet. Also watch your feet while playing, because it is better if you use the exact same technique in both feet, which makes it sound more solid. Then you can try to adjust your pedals in as many different ways as possible until you find a comfortable mode.

  • thanks man. unfortunately i don't have a metronome either. haha. ive been trying to focus more using my ankles with heels up at faster speeds. and advice on that technique?

  • Well, I always play heel up, so yeah, bout the same advice =)

  • Work up your calf muscles and other muscles dealing with drums, and stretch daily.

Then work slowly remember how the muscles contract and relax.

Speed up the proper form and there you have it.

  • that was cool man!!.... keep it up..!!!!

  • Perfet!

  • Very good man! Congratulations!!

  • in the opening part of the first verse it's actually triplet ride patterns over double bass 16th notes. That's what makes this song tough to cover.

  • fuckin sweet cover!

    are you in a band?

  • thank you very much! yes i am

  • very good, keep it up

  • not bad, but you made couple of mistakes, especially in changing tempo sometimes. whats funny, you did it on easy parts of the song.

  • haha. i noticed that too.

    lol

  • i like you blasting

  • Where the hell is there any blasting in this song?

You obviously don't know what a blast beat is

  • are you serious?

  • for Wontuseit: this is an exemple of blast beats: 1:24

  • do some chop exercises. do like some double taps or bucks and that will work out your chops quite well

  • i need to work up my hand speed, any suggestions?

  • shitloads of practice my friend. thats what i got for yah. just practice your single stroke rolls untill ur real fast at those then do double stroke until ur real good at that.

  • still think joeyjunior15 have better drum covers but hes playing other songs but the songs hes playing seems much harder to play

  • Nice solid playing and a nice sounding kit. Good work man, keep it up!

  • Hey can you do a August Burns Red cover.

    I love that band.

    Btw I am subscribing

  • Not the best, but WAY better than Tony Laureano is doing for them live. God damn does he suck...

Meh, anyway, nice dude. Lose the Green Day poster and you'll be cool. lol

  • haha lol yeah

  • Amazing, almost as good as Nick Barker himself (not a huge fan of Borgir so i'm unsure if this is even Barker's work)

  • Actually this is Tjodalv.. I don't agree though, but thanks anyway dude! :>

  • good job man , one of the best dimmu borgir songs , the old lol keeit loud

  • good work dude really nice :D

  • Awesome drumming and awesome t-shirt. Got that one myself. Wearing it on a daily basis xD

  • amzing song, plus perfect drummin

  • !Perfect!

  • NO FAGS ALLOWED TO COMMENT, thank you

lol, dimmu borgir isn't even real black metal?

  • Their first albums were, they're symfonic/melodic black metal now according to Wikipedia.

  • Yes, I know, their first albums is black metal. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is not. I wouldn't call them symphonic black metal either, more like.. symphonic black death metal with a little bit progressive metal, sometimes. But it's just my opionion.

  • What da fuck!!! amazing drum cover :D i like dimmu so much, congratulations, how old are you? im 30 years old and i cant move faster than you jaja!! where can i found info about the technique you use for play so faster?

    tanx! regards from mexico!

  • nice. more of this :D

  • Excellent cover :D

  • solid! nice sounding cymbals too.

  • that was nice.

what kind of kit is that? pearl's?

  • Very nicely played!

  • good job, just watch your speed at times, it gets sketchy. but overall good job

  • Jebane emo!!!sciagaj ta koszulke!!

  • OMG! how can u get ur snare beats so quick on a single hand? and your ride at the same time :o

i melt when i try it

    your a god tbf =D

  • thanks mate =)

it's called blastbeats, and it's all about practice if u know the technique!

  • Awesome Cover, I love ur Kit how much did it cost together?

btw Next time add the music

  • like, i think around 25.000

and yes, i added the music, listen closely ..

  • lol 25 thousand my ass

  • lol no, 25000 sek

  • Call me dumb but what are sek xD?

  • swedish kr,

  • awesome cover ...how do u play the double baass so fast..I cant play double bass 4 more than 3 mins ...any advice..

  • i'm no drummer but try heel up if you're not doing that already

  • haha i have the same shirt lol.nice work dude.

  • pretty sloppy in the beginning but gets better. Cool video 4 stars

  • You've got good chops, very precise. However, I think your bass drum sounds a bit weak. It needs a little more "oomph" to it, if you know what I mean. Other than that, it was great. Very solid.

  • Yeah, well i haven't tuned my drums after the sound in the cam, the bassdrum is louder and more clicky when i play. I've stuffed it with pillows and crap, cuz that gives the clicky sound i want, and that's probably why there is no "oomph"-sound on the record, the camera doesn't capture very much bass. Thanks anyway!

  • I KNOW THIS GUY!!!! XD

  • man ild love to thrash ma gat wit you on the drums. you play any other dimmu? for all tid? stormblast?

  • awesome

  • Nicely played dude, love your ELX too =D

  • thanks! yeap, so do I, haha.

i've just ordered a new tomtom, just a few minutes ago, it's really hard to find one in the same colour and with black hardware here in sweden =)
