So sorry to hear that. He was always so entertaining on tv when I was a kid. It sounds like you really have an insider's look at Halle's since you used to work there. Thanks for watching this video and for your comments.
I used to work for Halles. My aunt used to ask me how I liked at Halles which was funny because at the time I was working for O'Neils. I just used to respond after several times that I was not working there anymore that it was nice.
I live in Parma, a suburb of Cleveland and have a large collection of downtown Cleveland memorabilia, including a number of similar Halles boxes, hatboxes, and bags. I also have one of the original ornaments from the Sterling Linder Christmas Tree. Would be great to chat with you sometime. Thanks for sharing your memories!
Sounds like you have a great collection. I certainly remember that Sterling Linder tree and it is excellent that you have one of the original ornaments. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. Much appreciated and keep in touch!
Thanks so much for the trivia. That was very interesting and I had no idea. Since Halle Berry grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Bedford High School that certainly makes sense. Thanks also for watching this video post!
Here's another trivial note about Halle's regarding entertainment: the exterior of the Downtown Cleveland store was used for "The Drew Carey Show" where Drew was working in the offices. I don't think they ever used the store's sales floors for their sets.
Thank you for another very interesting piece of trivia that is perfect for information that relates to this video. If you have any more trivia regarding the Cleveland area please feel free to post it on my videos. Any and all would be appreciated very much by both myself and other viewers I'm sure. I knew about Drew Carey and the Cleveland connection but I had no idea the building used in the show was the Downtown Cleveland Halle's store. Many thanks for sharing!!

I worked at Halle's. All the boxes except for one, were from the time when Marshall Field's took over the store
and ruined a fine establishment.

I use to work at Halle's. I hate to burst your bubble,
but Mr. Jing-a-Ling not only kept the keys on the seventh floor, but had a nice stash of booze too.
He was a real drunk. In person and on t.v.

Halle Berry was named after Halle's. The script logo was from the ownership of Marshall Field's from 1970 until Halle's closing in 1982.
