Also, the swastika means different things to different users. If I remember right, in Hinduism the swastika represents the sun. From what I have read, the Vikings used the swastika as the rune for Odin, as well as the rune for Thor's hammer Mjöllnir. And before WW2, it was a lucky symbol in the US.

A lot of people say the Nazi's stole the swastika from other cultures. What people forget is that it was also a pagan European symbol used by the Northern Europeans (vikings) and that's why the Nazi's where using it. If you read into it, high ranking Nazi's were seeking to return Germany to Nordic, pre christian traditions. This is why the Sunwheel, or Swastika was sacred to them. Because of political highjacking by Nazi's our ancient symbols are banned which is a disgrace.

Swastica wasn't really stolen by nazis. It was a symbolic present to Hitler from Lenin. Later he used it changing its direction. In Sanscrit and in Slavic it meant sth like "heavenly road", just look at the northern part of the sky and find the constellation of Swastica.
