@Dadkywill Meaning... in one gameplay, you have to die 51 times and press continue 51 times, and then beat the game. Don't sweat it, just play in the hardest difficulty(make sure you got the octopus symbol or bought the invisibility thing so you don't rage if your not patient or professional).

@9cloudersprofile it's a special camouflage effect. The suit Snake uses is capable of changing its surface pattern, in this case its a pattern of burnt flesh. As for the face it's basically the same as the suit but only it is a mask. You also need to unlock that particular 'face' by completing the game within certain parameters.

@BLOOD1MONEY I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate as I've only played MGS4 (sadly) but Solid Snake is one of 3 clones of Big Boss.

You should check a Wiki, I'm probably wrong.

And I don't think that's actually Big Boss, pretty sure it was Solidus' body or something... Haven't played MGS4 for awhile.

Liquid Snake is the antagonist in MGS1, who's another clone, dies and gets his arm used to replace Ocelot's in MGS2. Solidus Snake is the third clone who is the main antagonist in MGS2, and looks very similar to how older Big Boss looks in MGS4, Solidus dies and is the fake Big Boss corpse in MGS4
