Anybody can use the fregrance the way he likes. Some people likes to where too much fregrance, and even if everybody smells me from a far distance I don't care because fregrance main advantage to be smell by other.
There is no rule on how much to apply. I spray on my skin and my body. I like to spray 15 to 10 spray. I don't care if the fregrance finished, I will buy another one.
Great video! The question on how much cologne to wear is complicated because every now and then you'll bump into people who are really sensitive to fragrances and they'll be offended by your smell anyway, even if you wear an appropriate amount. It's happened to me before and I felt EMBARRASSED! Now, the tip of asking someone about it IS helpful, hmm I never thought of that! Thank you for the tip!
I would like to see a general video on how many sprays for each type of cologne. like general safe rules. 2 for gourmands, 3 for light fragrances, 3 for spicy, 0 for axe and old spice, ect. Can you do one like this? I think it'll be really helpful for a lot of people

hey! i have a question....im in the band:) and i was just wondering if i can wear body spray or perfume to band camp without it getting all nasty:( pleeease answer!
@cformosa4 Ugh i sprayed my Fierce on , and it smells really good at first, then it fades away, idk if this is me getting used to the smell or im spraying it wrong..and I havent try to spray it on the pulse points yet...but after watching ur vids I'll give it a shot.:)
This may sound really lame..:-(...but I live in a very hot and humid place....so wearing a non-perfumed deodorant before applying a perfume is OK rite? Do you know any summery perfumed-deos for gals? I m using Dove(grapefruit n lemongrass) but getting sick of it! Thankyou for the luvly vdos!!
hey! that doesn't sound lame at all. It is COMPLETELY cool to wear a deodorant/antiperspirant with your perfume :) i prefer to wear the deo that matches the fragrance but you dont have to. Unscented is the best :)
Dove is great.. i like all of their scents. Their Go Fresh line is really nice! :) Cucumber and Green Tea is my favourite one for girls :) Very light and wont interfere with your perfume
does one put cologne on without a shirt on, so it doesn't get on the clothing? also, what if i cant smell my fragrance after a couple hours? do others smell it?
never put cologne on your clothes. I think he mentioned it wrecks the dry down of your fragrance. Also when you apply cologne to "pulse points" on your body, the heat in your blood activates the fragrance and you actually make the scent unique with your pheromones, and we all know what those are good for ;)
Your nose gets used to the smell, if you can really smell yourself all day, imagine what others are smelling!
what would you say for 'vera wang - princess' like wrists, chest and back of neck? i think its like a medium.. not too strong or light but ahh heelp me pleaseee!!
Yes, indeed... I was agreeing with you and correcting the other chap who thought it was effeminate:) Interesting point about the back of the neck. I didn't know that, have to try that soon. Peace.

Thanks for the information Cubby. I have only recently become addicted to fragrences. I never was a fragrence type person till a year or so ago but I became addicted, unfortunatley for my wallet, to Creed colognes and now it is all I will buy unless it is Geir by Geir ness or Jean Paul Le Male. I have turned up my nose to anything else but Creed colognes they are just so perfect. Can you do a show on spotting fakes? There are so many fake Creeds on-line mostly Green Irish Tweed!!!
There is nothing wrong with doing that but Its better to spray it directly onto your skin because when you spray it in the air your will be wasting quite a lot of your expensive fragrance. The scent attaches to you better if you spray it directly on your skin as well :)
hey man...gotta say the videos you've made are awesome!!! I've always kept a few bottles of my favorite cologne around but I was never quite sure how to wear it and make it last, but now I do!!! Thanks a ton!
Hey, cologne and perfume are fine, just be careful. I have a form of toxic shock syndrome making some fragrances give me seizures and some could make me stop breathing. I am simply saying be careful and understand that not everyone can or will enjoy your scent.
Are the areas the same for women? I mean, the spraying on the back of the neck is something I haven't heard before and i was wondering if any women did that.
yup. They are the same for women too. Women can also spray behind their ears if their hair is too long and gets in the way for the back of the neck :)
I always go for the back of the neck, especially when going out dancing. That area heats up when you dance and when fragrance heats up it will radiate, so you smell good while you're dancing.
But I just apply a slight spritz. NO PERFUME SHOWERS!
There should be a code of ethics about NOT wearing cologne when you go to a good (even a not so good) restaurant. Even two feet away is too much in such situation. There should also be a rule for the taxi drivers (NO COLOGNE AT ALL): we pay for the ride, we should be able to keep our own smell free from bad cologne invasion... Question for the expert: what is your opinion about the fact that frangrances are gender oriented? Why should I limit my choice in the male section at the store?
yeah i agree about taxi drivers,, and when you're working might not be a good idea to wear fragrances unless you work in an ok work environment to wear it. Um, well there are certain notes that are gender distinctive, but there are a lot of mens fragrances that i wouldn't be afraid to smell on a women, and vise versa.. but very few. You can wear whatever fragrance you want, if it works on you then you're good to go :)
How about the restaurant code of ethics? when you pay 100$ (more or less, does not matter) for a meal, you should be entitled to smell-odor privacy! Don't agree with you on the gender distinctive frangrances... let's put all the fragrances in the world on a continuum, from a to z, + do not impose any kind of publicity on any given product, and men and women would simply distribute themselves on the line, probably evenly... we are in the field of culture here... Talk to you man!
Hi! Cubby... I am berje16... I wrote to you twice in the past 12 hours. Interesting site you have. However, I think you should approach fragrances with a more sociological and anthropological point of view, if this is of any interest for you... Have you read the perfume? one of the best books ever written about smells and odors... don't miss my next message... I will give you one of my favorite tips about how to use cologne you don't want to wear anymore! berje16
My best cologne is actually considered as a women fragrance : biotherm - EAU VITAMINÉE - you should review it! (if youcan find it in Vancouver or Victoria
How to use cologne you don't want anymore? simple - just a few drops in a hot bath before you go to bed... gives you a sense of freedom you would not expect from bathing... don't add the candle, it's far too takkky! just turn all lights off and bathe! You will always want to repeat this experience!
Synthetic fragrance products are hurtful. Go to chemical companies such as Eastman or Shell, and type in fragrance in their search window. You'll find the same chemical solvents sold for fragrance as those in glues, plasticizers, paint, paint removers. Many are neurotoxins and hormone disrupters that will affect future generations. Fragrances compromise the air and build up in fat cells. Don't inflict them, please.
I spray once on each shoulder with my cologne, its not really too strong but it doesn't seem to fade throughout the day. But, I spray it on my clothes, usually. My friends all say I smell really good, and never too strongly. =] Although I know some people I should recommend watch this... lol
I find that the fragrance changes with your body heat and chemistry, and sometimes i prefer just to just spray on my clothing just to get the same scent straight out of the bottle...
Exactly, which means the idea of separate fragrances for men and women is just nonsense. For example, if you're a woman and you decide to apply a men's fragrance, it will eventually mix with your own unique scent and it will probably become just as feminine as you are. Same thing goes if you're a man trying a woman's fragrance. It may seem feminine or masculine while in the bottle, but once it hits your skin, other notes will be revealed.
I know this is mainly a "show" for colognes... but what about perfumes? Like, women's perfumes? Do you know if the "rules" are different for "how to, where to, how much" for women's perfumes?
Well, you've certainly enlightened me as to the secret art of fragrance application! I worked in an aromatherapy store for a couple years and it's great to see you know your stuff! :D Where'd you learn all this stuff?
Ha ha haa @ the last comment. Gay or not, you rock, but I'm sure you'd get a lot of a admirers if you happened to come out.
thanks! i didnt know that you weren't supposed to rub your skin after putting on perfume, and i was wondering about room sprays, can you use them on yourself if it smells really good?
if its a room fresher, or spray.. you dont want to use it on your skin. .The chemicals may be too harsh for your skins and can cause some irritation. Also, they might not smell soo good on skin lol
So you talked about too much fragrance. Is there anything that can be done to backtrack from too much? Just run around without your shirt on for a while? xD
Yeah! It bothers me when my friend keeps rubbing it on their hands and puts it on their neck!! Maybe if i show this to him, he'll believe me cuz he never did before :P!
Haha yeah, I know what you mean.. like when my brother puts on cologne or whatever, I'll just be walking up the stairs and I can already smell it.. I'm gonna send this video to him! Hope it helps.. :]
you're a smart young professional! props for that! i'm also one! much love for what you've been doing!

thanks! i didnt know that you weren't supposed to rub your skin after putting on perfume, and i was wondering about room sprays, can you use them on yourself if it smells really good?
gotthecoolshoeshine 4 years ago
if its a room fresher, or spray.. you dont want to use it on your skin. .The chemicals may be too harsh for your skins and can cause some irritation. Also, they might not smell soo good on skin lol
cformosa4 4 years ago
So you talked about too much fragrance. Is there anything that can be done to backtrack from too much? Just run around without your shirt on for a while? xD
noodleguru 4 years ago
Awesome videoo!
Yeah! It bothers me when my friend keeps rubbing it on their hands and puts it on their neck!! Maybe if i show this to him, he'll believe me cuz he never did before :P!

I'm puzzled now as to just how often you're supposed to apply fragrance -- with a heavier scent I'd assume once a day but what about lighter ones?
