Wow I think you totally have me convinced I need these products now.lol. You should so be a sales person. But in all seriousness I think I need that concealer now. Waterproof, doesnt cake, and actually covers ummmm yes I think I need that in my life.
@Purplestars1986 haha I don't need to sell it, it really sells itself!! it is a really great concealer, I used a bunch of it today along with my Dream Matte Mousse foundation, which u would think if i I used concealer and then swirly a bunch of that on my face with my fingers the concealer would get messed up, but it didnt! And I could still put more concealer over the top of the foundation where necessary. It's good stuff!
I'm definitely going to get this foundation! I usually use the Revlon Photo Ready foundation for absolute coverage but it makes me break out so I only use it when I'm going out etc....I need a good stay put, oil free foundation and the Make Up Forever Mat Velvet looks perfect for that. I have oily skin and I break out as well, as we've discussed lol, and I need something that will last all day at work without looking chunky or cakey! Love the review thanks!
@candyland1081 yea u should def. check this out then! see if u can get a sample if u have a sephora near by. for me, revlon colorstay was just okay - it tends to break down on me after a while and starts to get shiny. plus I have a hard time finding my shade, and at around $10-12 a bottle, I'd rather be able to test shades out and buy a nice high end product that works better. lmk how it works for u! :)
So glad you did the review on the concealor. I'm in need of one and havent started the search but it sounds like you found it for me! lol I'm going to check it out next time I'm in Sephora.
@ChristasWorld do ittt!!! I'm sure you can get a nice sized sample before you buy, and you need so little of it that a sample would probably last a while!
try applying your foundation with elf powder brush and spray it with evian facial spray before buffing your foundation into the skin-----this is how i apply my foundation and it spraying the brush first keeps the foundation from "sinking" into the brush and also you won't waste product!
@PunchyPink87 it really helps, especially with foundations that set quickly. i just bought the real techniques brushes but haven't tried them yet, how do you like them?
@9TwelveMUAStudios I am obsessed with the buffing brush for foundation (both liquid and powder) and the blush brush (for blush and powder). I want the rest of the brushes b/c they r so good! And I am rarely super impressed with brushes
I second the request for the Clinique Moiture Surge, my combo skin has decided to become a dry desert. The foundation looked very good on you. If you didn't keep pointing out where your problem areas were, it would have been hard to tell where your blems were. Thanks for the tip on working in small areas, I would have been frustrated by trying to use it like other foundations.
@grannaboo03 i will b doing a video on the moisture surge next week :) I'm glad i looked up info on the foundation before i used it, otherwise i would have had lots of dry dots on my face and been frustrated! lol
That shit really works. I prefer that type of foundation look versus that of the "dewy". I'm old fashioned that way, preferring a more matte/satin-matte finish. My skin leaves scars, as well. It's very thin and transparent. A deadly combo, if you will. Nice demo! :D xxx
@MakeupNeverSleeps thanks! the word dewy just makes me mad for some reason, so any time someone says a foundation has a dewy finish, I instintively dislike it. It makes me think my face is going to look like morning grass or something, idk idk
I agree on adding shimmer/highlighting, I love a great matte foundation but without a dry finish. I will have to mix that with my serum if I ever decide to try it. Thanks for the info!
@LashGirlMe this foundation doesnt have a dry finish but its not really dewy either, but u can def make it that way. ( my skin is getting kind of oily tho so that may b why it doesnt have that finish). what serum do u use??
@PunchyPink87 I use the holy grail of all serums, Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum/ Fragrance Free. The CVS version, CVS Daily Serum is the same thing- I use that too! <3
Thanks for the feedback, I am interested, it def. made a difference on your complexion. :)
I have the concealer and is Amazing.... I will continue buying it!
