rappers represent themselves & that which is of the world. You can certainly rap and be holy as the scripture says. No, we shouldn't look or rap like the world, but just because it's not what u or others think it should be doesn't make it not of God. Have you even listened to Christian rap? However, he also went seeking the lost sheep and because he did so, he was persecuted for doing so. Back then, it was basically not cool for those who were clean to touch those who were unclean. Jesus ministered to everyone, however, if you pay attention, He didn't surround Himself around those who knew, but those who did not know. No. A lot of the old ways of bringing the word to most ppl now these days will not work. If you check it out in the word, Paul began to preach and take the word to the Gentiles & those who did NOT know about Jesus Christ and the gospel. Yes, he did write letters to the churches, but to edify them so they wouldn't stay stuck in one place spiritually.

Also, this pastor used his pulpit, authority, and social influence to address something that should have been addressed individually. Jesus gives a "conflict resolution" blueprint in Matthew 18:15-17 which I don't believe was used. I admit that I can only assume this, however surely a pastor as adamant as he is about adhering to God's Word in all things would mention that they were. If in fact they weren't, maybe he needs to pick up a phone rather than step up to the mic.

Another problem I see is that there is no specific resolution or correction in love mentioned throughout the entire sermon. It's just go to this verse, go to that verse, go to this verse, go to that verse. You can only go to so many scriptures and maintain the integrity of their context as well as use it to be relevant. Anyone can bounce around the scriptures and come up with a sermon that will tickle the ears of whomever they are speaking to.

2nd Timothy or Pauls second epistle(letter) to Timothy, he warns Timothy that his teachings will come under attack as men turn from hearing the TRUTH & desire to hear ear-itching words(false teachings;feel good messages). The TRUTH is holy hip hop, christian hip hop is false & the reason is because of the spirit of worship. @MegaMindFrame Sanctify yourselves...meaning set your self apart(away from the world) to BE USED BY GOD! You can't be sanctified if you're rapping like the rest of the world. I am not defending price or any body else but the truth is word. Let no man decieve you. I am a little confused, if someone can clear this up for me let me know. He says that there is no Scripture reference but that it can be rooted in the Bible. If something is rooted in the Bible wouldn't there be a reference for it? Also, I have been listening to Christian Rap for a minute and sometimes I hear my pastor preach on the exact same things that are in my music. I really listen to content based Christian Rap because like any other genre, not all of it is good or God glorifying.
