well, I suppose it is possible. However, having a power source that wasn't completely drained every time you open a hyperspace window on such a small ship might be a problem.
I mean ships like the Daedalus, wraith cruisers etc have massive power sources.
During Rodney's breif brush with ascension, he develobed a Hyperspace engine for the puddle jumper, but it wasn't functional, now in the episode "Adrift" I believe, they needed to steal a ZPM from the Asurans, and Rodney completed the Hyperspace engine for the Jumper, and they stole ZPMs :P
Hmmm, Goa'uld cargo ships are small and they have hyperdrive capability though. *shrugs*

jumper does not have a hyperspace engine
or is it an upgrade for the jumper they find later????
