@ThePhallystorm Nope...that would be Randall Hall. He was a guitarist in Allen Collin's short-lived solo band after he left Rossington-Collins. Filled in for Allen due to his auto accident and subsequent paralysis, later canned for standing up for himself against Gary and Johnny. Is what it is....

Very few women can pull off the Rock Show, I mean lets face it, its a male dominated area, but, there are some outstanding exceptions to this rule. Dale Krantz-Rossington was a .38 Special backup vocalist before the Rossington-Collins Band ('79-'82 era). ...Randall Hall complained about money in '93/'94 and was dismissed, as was Ed King for his heart issue in '95. Lots of legal dirt between '93-'96 in and around "Gary Rossington's Lynyrd Skynyrd", as Blackfoot's Charlie Hargrett so aptly calls them.

Rickey Medlocke gets paid every time a Blackfoot song is played ...he is a good guy I guess but a business man. He doesn't let them perform as Blackfoot for free or from kindness of heart. And as for the 'Gary Rossington's Lynyrd Skynyrd' comment......it is his Lynyrd Skynyrd...Ronnie, Gary, Allen and Bob were the beginnings of Skynyrd....it is his Skynyrd...he's the last of the wild ones!

I like Rickey's music with Blackfoot, talented guy, hell of a slide-guitar player...but that attitude will come back to haunt him yet again. Skynyrd in it's current form won't last forever.

I have a real stupid Q. 2 ask. Did MrsRossington sing back up for Lynyrd Skynyrd? say back in 2004 around that era. Just curious I got to meet some of Lynyrd Skynyrds band. And one of his back up singers look just like this lady. NA!! I sure its not. But would be nice if someone knows for sure.

She was real nice, down to earth and glad that I took my time to go say hello to them. As they where getting on their RV@Bush Intercontinental airport Houston. It would have been great to have met Mr.Skynyrd also. But his RV left before I had a chance. ALL I CAN Say Lynyrd Skynyrd and their band GOOD PEOPLE!!!!!

Look at Randall's guitar : it's a "Telebird" with a left handed Telecaster neck, a Telecaster std treble pickup and a Firebird minihumbucking neck pickup!

Randall was choosen as substitute by Allen in 1987 and got Allen's '58 Explorer, but never felt comfortable with the neck. He had the idea of this Telebird to play Freebird.

@LynSkyn1981 Yeah, of course Rossington, Collins, Wilkeson, and Powell had the chemistry because they had worked together for so long, but Barry Harwood's contribution to RCBs's success cannot be overstated. His writing, vocals and guitar work was what breathed new life into what could have been just another attempt at a comeback for Skynyrd. Of course Dale out front, her voice and her look was key also. But Barry was the THE KEY to their success in my mind.

I saw the Rossington Collins band at the Philadelphia Spectrum with 38 Special opening for them. You wanna talk about an incredible show. When they came out for the encore, Dale looked up and said "This is for you Ronnie", there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Then Billy Powell went into the piano intro of Freebird with a spotlight on the microphone out front, there was a deafening scream throughout the Spectrum. A concert I will remember for the rest of my life. Wow!!!

Saw them on two tours. The first tour Dale did the same thing in Roanoke Va with the Henry Paul Band and there was not a dry eye in the place when she said that. The most amazing part of the shows was Barry Lee Harwood and his amazing talent. Both times I saw them in Roanoke and once at the Capital Center he stole the show. The one thing that surprised me is that Barry Lee fit in so well and it was like watching a right handed Steve Gaines.
