  • Wow, dsp had the same opinions on this part of the game, it's what made him quit.

  • he has a cold!!! >.<

  • I feel @GhostRobos pain... Blight town isn't the most fun place to be T_T

  • Guys stratagy does not matter. I have beaten this game about...seven times, and all i did was rampage through.

  • a catalyst would have helped you.

  • You need to upgrade your stuff you need shards and a blacksmith

  • you are just reallllly bad at video games

  • @hodin333 and youre the perfect master? think what you might but youre most likely just as bad

  • Comment removed

  • I agree that Blighttown is horrible; try to think of it as 'challenging' instead haha. Trust me it gets so much better once you ring the second bell! :) Also I recommend getting a divine weapon then heading into the catacombs to get the rite of kindling. It's really useful for later on when you have to fight Ornstein and Smough in Anor Londo.

  • Yay!!! Dark Souls!!!!!

  • DARN IT how can it be that i missed the restart of the darksouls let's play... have to apoligize for that ^^ sry

    WUUUHUUUU its BACK

  • im glad he is starting agen

  • ill say the reason for him not being able to beat the boss is because simply "ghosty never coats his weapon at all" wich doubles or somtimes triples the attack of the weapon.. making it posible to beat most bosses in 5-6 combo attacks...

  • Thx these are my favourite videos, dark souls is my favourite game keep on that good work

  • thansk al lot for continuing the game.Im already p[ast you, but for the sake of the videos, I'll start a new character :)

Piece of advice, go farm souls at the valley of drake otherwise, you will CRY at the Sen's fortress. Even if the dragon might look scary, don't be scared, you can easily kill them and take a slew of souls !

  • Once you lose patience with the game, it is pretty much over. I found the game not difficult, but rather challenging and a test of ones patience. Once you learn from mistakes and then try and try again, only then do you prevail.

  • i feel your pain ghost

  • I completely agree with you, Ghost. Blighttown... is... not... fun...

They pulled the same nonsense in Demon's Souls. The swamp level there is horrendous as well.

Remember you can always fight your way back to civilization and try a different area. I think there are big area's of the Darkwood still to explore and you can go back to the undead asylum for some good loot!

  • HURRAY ITS BACK I SO HAPPY IV BEEN WAITING FOREVER!!!!!

  • There is no benefit to going to the Great Hollow unless you wanna cheat. Quelaag is anything but a difficult fight, you're just not putting the thought into it, she has an incredibly easy attack rotation to learn, and frankly if you have this much trouble now, later on in the game is going to kick your ass. There's no gear or level issue the whole game is doable completely naked, it's the thought process and trial and error. Not trying to be rude or anything, just a little truth.

  • step it up, one of the easiest bosses/zones, jus learn the fight :)

  • Comment removed

  • There is a short cut out of there if ur not ready to fight quelag yet it's really easy jus search blighttown shortcut on youtube

  • And now i want hot chocolate...

  • Oh, and you talked about the hollow? yes there is a ring there that increases stamina regen but dont bother about the rest, very pointless and unenjoyable place and it will likely kill you, ALOT

  • Well ghost, that sounds just about like me when i combated quelaag. she is the last obstacle between you and (in my opinion) the most enjoyable parts of the game, the thing is that lower burgs, the depts and blighttown is so monotonuos and very bleak. i found them the least enjoyable parts of the game by far, just push on the grass is greener on the other side i promise you.

  • @MrMillerlight89 Watch out everyone! We have a badass over here.

  • @OriginalNinjaWaffle i think its a mix of badass and dumbass

  • @MrMillerlight89 so what your point you know how to adapt and learn how to avoid attacks woopde fuckin do

  • @MrMillerlight89 U MAD BRO?!

  • @MrMillerlight89 look your bitch ass jealous attitude you blow balls at game and you judge him? fuck off hater bitch

  • press 4

    that ass?

  • i think i heard somewhere that they took out the drake sword in a patch not too long ago

  • Start lvling vitality

  • A decent strat for killing Quelaag's: when it spits lava, get right on the side of it, between its head and its abdomen, so that the lava cannot hit you. Then start wailing on it. Dont get behind it or too close behind it, or it will do the explosion move that will pretty much insta-kill you. Thats about all there is to it. Its a trial of patience.

  • Ghostrobo, I know you do not want an overpowered weapon, but look at it this way: Dark Souls is hard as BALLS, so you have every reason to use a good weapon, ESPECIALLY on this boss. Therefore, you really, really need to get the Drake sword. The trip back to Undead Burg will totally be worth it, and it only takes about a couple hundred or so arrows to the red dragon's tail to get it.

  • @MegaGrizzlybear1 IT only takes 15-20 large arrows

  • What you need to do is grind souls. Yes I know it sucks but that's the plain and simple truth. You need to grind souls and level up. I would say it is possible to do Quellag's at 35 but it is very hard to do. I was lvl 40 and had trouble. Take my advice: Level up, explore blighttown, gather up all of its treasure, hit level 35-40 and THEN begin attempting Quellags.

  • @MegaGrizzlybear1 Level 35-40 for Quelaag? This should be easily do-able at 20. His issue isn't his level, it's the fact that he's not studying the enemies attacks.

  • @LimeXLight pfff, that asian guy that did the speedrun was level 3 for quelaag

  • @LimeXLight and the uchigatana sucks

  • @xUnknownBeastx Are you kidding?

It's really fast, is light, has great speed, has good range, has both slashing and thrusting attacks, has good attack power, scales well with dex, causes bleeding, and makes for a great elemental weapon.

It's easily one of the best all-round weapons in the game.

The only weapon that is potentially better as an all-round weapon is the Washing Pole, which is another katana, as it scales with both str and dex and has an even longer range.

    It's kinda heavy though.

  • @Denamic he also has a sword wich is better but hes not using it

  • @LimeXLight You can easily beat the whole game at like level 10.

This game only requires skill, and shitloads of patience.

  • If u havin boss problems I feel bad for u son, I killed 99 bosses but this ______ Ain't one!

  • With the recent update you can not get the drake sword, but all merchants now sell arrows

  • There's 410 likes, 13 dislikes... But only 306 views? wtf?

  • @Whelegend (sigh) u knew to youtube or r u just trolling? it normally stops at 301-309 just normally happens

  • @tallguy75 I'm not trolling... And you spelled "new" wrong...

  • @Whelegend ok so u really just did not kno. well thats fine then and yeah man miss types happen get over it.

  • @tallguy752 K i'm over it :)

  • @Whelegend wicked

  • @tallguy752 yup

  • Dude u need 2 change that katana 4 sumthn better! And block more cuz that boom thing that she does us blockable I think...

  • If you need purple moss, ride the waterwheel near the bonfire up and climb ladders until you end up in an area called Valley of Drakes. From there, there's a small bridge that reaches right across to more stairs that lead to New Londo. Near there there are even more stairs that lead to a lift that takes you back to Firelink. Ride the lift shortcut back to Undead Parish. Go to the blacksmith. Go to Darkroot Garden and kill tree enemies there. They often drop all most types.

  • Quelaag is arguably the easiest boss in the game.

Beat her, and you are set.

  • @guitarman2134568 Nah I thought lord gwyn was easiest

  • Ghost, i got this game for christmas and i learned so much that I wish I could tell you :( im on ps3 tho man this sucks that i cant help you, best of luck! :(

  • i dnt understand ghost....darksouls is like a crappier skyrim.........drop this garbage.

  • @slayer325782 Theyre both completely different. You're right, you don't understand. Why don't you just shut the fuck up because you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

  • @slayer325782 stop comparing Darksouls to skyrim it is not SKYRIM it is a different style of game made by different people and enjoyed by different people. The game is so hard it turns off most people while skyrim more attractive to other people. Darksouls came out before skyrim so if we follow your flawed logic then Skyrim is an easier version of Darksouls (I own Skyrim so I am speaking from experience)

  • Goes not gos

  • Do u know what's funny.

Everyone says that they would never go back to blighttown after they pass it but everyone gos back sometime in the game

  • Your so underleveled.

I beat the Giant Rat at level 32.

    But I think i'm overleveled ;D

  • Hey,

Trust me, the game gets much better after BlightTown .... I would highly recommend you upgrade any curved sword (ie. sword with a curved blade) to Quellage's sword (you a get a detailed description about how to do this in the Dark Souls Wiki).....thank you for continuing this series and keep up the great commentary bud!

  • Yes bring it back and bring it back now finally

  • To all idiots who suggest GhostRobo to take the Drakesword:

    1) In order to get the Drakesword, you need arrows.GhostRobo has killed the Undead Merchant in Undead Parish and the other merchant who sells arrows is in Sen's Fortress.

    2) The Drake Sword is pretty useless. It is helpfull at the beggining but it stands no chance against tougher guys.

  • @RedMoon151

actually theres a merchant selling arrows between firelink shrine and the undead parish, and if you use an golden pine ( or w/e they're called ) you can cut off his tail with 3 sword hits. but i agree, he shouldn't get it.

  • @RedMoon151

    1. the drake sword gives fire resistance

    2. he already met a merchant that sells arrows a short run from firelink shrine

    3. I agree he shouldn't get the drake sword

    4. (most important) Calling people idiots is mean

  • @RynKen 1. he will need the fire resistance just for the fight with qwellag(is that the name?)

    2. you are talking about the female undead merchant who sells poison arrows(i dont remember the rest of the arrows) for lots of souls

  • @RedMoon151 your can get the drake sword with about 30 arrows and each poison arrow is 100 souls, getting 3000 souls wouldn't be that difficult. Her name is Quelaag by the way, but that's not important.

  • Ghost good to see you back with Dark Souls you will beat Queelag read the comments all good tips do some farming and come back but whichever way you go keep playing Please!!!!

  • Y U NO TAKE THE DRAKESWORD

  • go... take... the drakesword!!!

  • I'm so happy you're continuing the series. Pretty awesome~

  • Sorry, I meant drake sword, DAMN auto correct

  • People please stop with the take sword,i got the gargoyles axe and I upgraded it to divine, im at queela with it and its stronger than the drake plus it will take a while to get our hands on a drake scale, so I advise people to upgrade there weapons early on! :-)

  • go back to the forest and stock up on mosses

  • hey man I just got the game about a week ago and just beat queelag and a thing I noticed at least in this video is you spend too much time running around. Try to work on positioning yourself behind her and the only time you really need to be careful is when she does her roar. It was different for me because I had a ton of humanities so I could keep popping them to summon the npc for help but she isnt too difficult if you focus on your positioning behind her and avoid the roar

  • people in the comments can help ghostrobo

  • I had a feeling this would happen... the game is getting to be too overwhelming and its only going to get worse. I like your Dark Souls videos, but I think you need to stop before you rage quit and snap the disk in half.

  • Get the DrakeSword !!

  • @MrPakiXbox that would help since its stronger and gives fire defense but he doesn't want it.

  • @RynKen maybe if he gets desperate, he would get it..

  • great way to get humanity is put down summon sign near the bonfire and help somebody kill quelaag u get 10000 souls plus 8500 if the red phantom has not been killed in summoner's world

  • Ghost, Against Queelag you just use the shield + 1H when you are getting arround her. You should 2H the sword before hitting her to get alot more damage!

And if you want a great weapon, And no not the Drakesword! you could get the "Black Knights sword" from "mr beastie boy" in undead burg :)!

  • @Maxze that sword is a random drop.

  • @RynKen

It's the most common drop from em, and he have passed like 5 of em alrdy, so if he don't get it from 1 of em i'd be damned haha :D

  • @Maxze he passed one black knight with a black knight sword, another wielding a black knight great sword and another wielding a black knight halberd. They cant drop weapons they don't have.

  • seeing you playing is like seeing me playing and I love that

  • put your sword in 2 hands cuz you dont have to block against queenlog that will make you give more damage thumbs up so ghost can see

  • Difficulty level:

I want to be that guy

    Dark souls

    Super meatboy

    Devil may cry 3

  • @mcdrue no way Dark Souls isnt that difficult

  • @mcdrue devil may cry 3 is easier than dark souls lol

  • @MrDeathnotefan98 Apparently, the first ever edition of DMC3 that was released in Japan was really though, only the Japs got to play it.

  • I'VE GOT AN IDEA ( it may not work but)

Try using sourcery against her that might work but don't bother with pyromancy coz she's invincible against it.

Obviously that won't kill her though but it should do a decent amount of damage

  • i feel ya when it comes to blight town that place is terrible but it is the only bad place in the game both annoying and laggy that is the only place like that u r definitely at a high enough level to kill quelaag just memorize her pattern its pretty basic stay at distance with ur shield always drawn and creep up to her face once your right in her face she will do a 3 slash combo after that shes open for an easy couple hits then back up and repeat only thing that might hit u is the floor lava

  • The One place I got stuck on for ever was Anor Londo But after u kill Ornstien and Smough it's really rewarding, You will c y

  • Lock on and block.

  • GhostRobo Awwww I really wish I could Just come over and help u kill her I'm lvl 139 and I've finished the game 3 times almost 4 I do feel sry for u but imm telling u that the great hollow is way over lvl for u keep trying to beat Quelaag and I should be getting a HD recorder soon and I'll do A whole stratergy guide for Dark Souls.

Any way hope u get better soon( in the game and for real)

  • Ghost - I've found that after/before each boss fight, that you need to farm to increase your firepower (not lvl so much) in preparation for the next area & boss. I realize this means some playtime offline of such - but well worth the time/investment for the overall enjoyment of the game. I'm lvl 21 and well past Blighttown. Happy to help in game or otherwise to help with your overall experience. Cheers!

  • but ghost it sounded like you had so much fun laging into swamps

  • You continue Dark Souls

    Yaaaaay :D

  • 306 views, 318 likes... makes sence to me

  • Why don't you go farm humanity from the rats in the depths, they have an abnormally high drop rate.

  • Hey Ghostrobo ! You should just start a new game with a new character ! Believe me, you're gonna have way more fun !

    A Fan

  • See? I told you. Stuck as fuck. Try getting the drake sword. That will be a start

  • OMG still no progress.

  • To elaborate, just look at games like the original Mario. In that game, if you die, you have to start ALL the way over, and if you die too many times, you have to start the game ALL the way over. And yet no one calls Mario a hard game. I think a lot of gamers have become complacent with forgiving checkpoint systems, and that has created a bunch of bad gamers who have no skill and use glitches and cheats and mods to beat a game. Oh well :(

  • @LimeXLight

Couldn't agree more. People complain about dying all the time and whatnot, but honestly I died maybe 15 times in the whole game. In most modern games like uncharted 3 or MW3 I've died WAY more times than that. But I think people have trouble handling the checkpoint system (or lack there of) and they confuse that with being "Hard".

  • Ghost trust me you can beat quelagg. And dont worry blight town is the worst part of the game but once you beat quelag the dun with this game really starts. What you need to do to beay quelagg is face her but dont attack her. Stay away and scope out her moves. If you can find a way to dodge all her attacks which you can and figure out when you can hit her without getting pwned, you can win.

  • Trust me he's a dick and deserves it

  • Kill lautrek he drops 5 humanity and a badass ring

  • Best 3 minutes, 53 seconds of my day.

  • I know you didn't want tips to this vid but if you go back to that big wheel with the lift there is an easy shortcut to firelink shrine through valley of the drakes. (you will not face any dragons that way). Find the lift and get as high up as you can at that place and you will find the way. Allso you can get some humanity from killing rats. Good luck m8

  • OMG Dark Souls returns! Hurray! Keep it up, took me a while to defeat her myself I summoned the NPC to help me out.

  • make it daily !!!!

  • Duude, I should make my own series. xD ive memorized all items, all locations, and completly 100 percent. Am beast at this game.

  • Ghost I'm a huge fan of this series and i have a tip that im not sure if you are aware of or not, but there is a shortcut back to firelink shrine that you ran right past, a pitstop is all you need. There is an elevevator, leave the bonfire and hug the right wall. you will find it, its a difficult road, but much easier than that boss. Hope this helps ghost, I love this series, and hope this tip helps it continue!

  • hey ghost a way u can get humanity is fight rats in the sewer. recently there was a patch that increases the drop rate of humanity meaning that humanity is quite common especially on rats. like so he sees

  • Great to see you back, GR!

  • i got this for christmas and i hav already played it for over 40 hours! thumbs up if you are addicted as me

  • try off cam just power leveling just kill something ez thengo bak 2 a bondfire and do it over and over it may be really lame but it ill help you out alot

  • You will get through it ghost can do anything!! (:

  • Have you watched xCloud8745x's boss videos?

It seems easy for him to beat most of them

  • Ghost,

I can help you with quelaag if you would like. I just need to know your level. Message me on xbl if you want to have me help you.

Xbox gamer tag: a drunk angel69

  • You could restart...

You could get an assistant to play or you...

You could look up mods for it that may make it more enjoyable...

Isn't there a save you could go back to that would allow you to become more prepared???

(^o^) hang in there, I don't even like this game so do what you want but I think it is time for some help fro family and friends, an assistant, just sayin!

  • dark souls YAY

  • I just got this game it's epic I'm having a lot of fun it's a bit annoying when I fall of a cliff but thats life the walkthrough has helped me a lot so for that I thank you good sir : )

  • Just got this game it's epic I am having so much fun

the walkthrough has helped me a lot and for that I thank you good sir

  • read the strategy guide man

i rather you use it and cheat a bit than quit this series cuz this is the reason i subscribed

  • RING OF FAVOUR AND PROTECTION.

  • GO TO THE FOREST, BRO.

  • I'm so glad you're continuing Dark Souls. I actually just reset my youtube account, but I was watching your videos this whole time. I started with Portal 2 and I've become hooked on Dark Souls...Love your commentary and vids! I'm glad to be "officially" apart of the GhostRobo Army! :D

  • First of all: I'm a great fan of your series.

I've watched every episode, I enjoyed them very much, I love the humor you put into the whole thing.

Yes, there are definetley better gamer playing this game. (surprise, woopi-di-doo)

But these are not the gamers I want to accompany through this really mean game.

I had very much fun watching you freaking out like a freak over some stupid knight-armors, I don't want you to be left out in the dark.

Bite through it. You can do it. :)

  • P.S Glad you're continuing the series :)

  • ghost , armour doesnt matter... dragon crest shield and you're good to go! Stick to her left and strafe. Only atk u should dodge is the xplosion atk .. and she telegraphs it, just roll/dodge whatever!! et humanity , NPC phantom will invafde u, beat her and u can summon her 4 the boss fight. Mildred.... U will defeat her ..never lose hope!

  • Ghost, I gotta say you are the one who got me to buy this game and I love it but I feel your pain at ths point. Keep it up and best of luck!

  • Quelaag isn't hard. Run back out up the boardwalks and go into the Valley of the Drakes and grab the Dragon Crest Shield it has top tier fire defense. And then just make sure you guard when she does her explosion attack and you will absorb like 90% of that damage. Other than that strafe around her, avoid her stomps and block/avoid her sword strikes and you're set. It takes a few tries to learn the attack patterns but once you know what she's all about she's so easy. Thumbs up so he can see.

  • use a better sword n attack from the rear stay close n wait for an openin

  • I am glad to see u are going to continue the series gost this was the first lets play of urs i watched and i just love this game.

  • Sure

  • Calm down people I can't stress this enough don't get pissed at every thing he does I mean dame he's only human like you. I bet that you aren't perfect ether. Unless you god and your not and I'm shuts of that. So I say again as nice as possible PISSOFF!!!!!! Thank you.

  • @TheFirstEditionI Sadly, it's the world, or, at least, country of which we (I) live in. People expect things handed to them when they ask for it, lack respect and have lost the ability to realize certain things, no matter how many times you tell them/show them.

  • Ghostrobo and Dark Souls!

  • Two solution escape blithtown so you can farm humanity in the sewers and purple moss in the garden. Not to mention getting a few level up of resistance, vitality and endurance will also not be a bad idea. Or make a new build after all blithtown is not that advanced in the game.

  • @TheRanblingjohnny for a second i thought you said bitchtown

  • I might as well I hate that fucking place! lolll @LilDykkie

  • yaaaaaaaaaa now just another month until the next 4min video gets posted. I should of just bought the game

  • need to get to new londo ruins from the top of the waterwheel man :S then firelink

  • i would try ranged attacks and farming for some humanity to summon the tankiest guy at your disposal

  • @Ghostrobo i feel your pain, ghost. I hated Blightown, every graphical inch. The best thing to do to is go up that water elevator, run past those fat cavemen, go through New Londo and back up firelink, all the way to the Butterfly Forest. There is a Hydra there to fight. It's a breath of fresh air and he isn't that hard, but it takes a long time toget there and who knows, you might get your ass kicked. Good luck and THANK YOU for continuing Dark Souls!!! :D

  • this series as in game series is evil in so mang ways, but also extremely satisfying, still haven't beaten demons souls, this game looks much harder too

  • Bosses are really trial and error tests. Quelagg IS beatable at your level Ghosts but I hate to say it that without summoning it will be a lot of try and see what works thing. But I would recommend summoning it really does make it easier because of A) Does a bit more damage, B) You take less Damage C) They can take pressure off you while you heal. Funny thing happened to me though, I actually died right when my partner killed her so even though I respawned at the bonfire she was dead :3 Yay

  • Because Quelaag is still alive, you can farm the mobs in the level for humanity, the best place for this are the leeches to the left of the bond fire. From the bond fire, go straight out across the swamp to the far wall, hug that wall to the left and you should run into them. They go down quick and can also drop titanite for weapon upgrades. The Great Hollows bond fire is also very close to the leeches if you prefer to use that one.

  • finally a whole month has gone by MOAR dark souls...3:00...3... WWWWWTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFF!!!1!

  • Ghost all you need to do is lock onto the Quelaag and run in circles around the entire arena. Then it's a waiting game wait for her to pet the spider on the head then it will start to spit lava out of it's mouth then proceed to walk up to one of its sides not the back. When you walk to the back it does the shockwave attack thing. But you're doing great! To get to the Quelaag at your level is a huge feat.

  • My face when I saw a new part was up: =DDDDDDDD

My face when I saw video lenght: DDDDDDDDDDD=

  • the woman merchant sells humanity, worst comes to worst grind some souls go up the water wheel and buy one or two. and when you fight her duel wield your weapon does more damage, dont try to block just try to run.

  • Yay! Please continue whenever you can! :-)

  • You have balls to play dark souls

  • On the parts that you find really difficult, you can try post commentary for your successful attempt.

  • this is the easy bit:( feel sorry for ghost robo, is not the kind of game you can play without guides

  • I took one thing away from this video: Ghost is playing a game he clearly does not enjoy anymore but b/c of the continuous demand on the channel, promises to try and get better, whether or not the game gets better for him. How unfortunate.

  • Blightown, easy breezy! The game gets a lot harder in the Catacombs and Tomb of the Giants if you don't know what you're doing.
