I recently got a question: "Which was the last film to which I cried". I can now say that this is the one. It's sad how we use the earth. One person can change all, sadly I'm incapable of being the one... Still I hope that there will be many of these persons that can change the world alone and together they shall bring our world the better future.

Tragically beautiful. I felt chills throughout this movie. Indeed, the informed person will know just about everything shown here, but the presentation is excellent, makes an impact, leaves an impression. The end part does serve to give hope and shake us out of fear instilled until then so we can feel inspired and act, but really, after the initial segment which only inspires awe and until the end, the chills felt were all out of fear. Fear for our future.
like those tall giant trees which lived for millions of years, and mighty dinosaurs who ruled the earth, we homo sapiences should also remember that our rein is not perpetual, there will be a time when we will have to go too, and let the planet be ready for next species....hence it is our duty to leave behind beautiful things....or atleast.. something which is helpful for their growth of civilization...like we were given coal and petroleum
Environmental Destruction is mainly due to capitalism...(and I'm not a communist) its just the truth, its the impulses that come along with making profit..which leads to exploitation of natural resources...its like the Kuznets curve (supply and demand)

This movie has really changed my view on the world. I mean, i'm sure we all knew this stuff, but the amazing high definition angles and inspiring words really help shake things up in my mind. This is one of those movies where you wake up the next morning and see everything in a completely different way. I am no longer a working gear in a consumerist machine, I am an awareness in a sea of human beings. With an equal love for life, and an equal goal of the survival of the species.

Beautiful movie, but, heh. It sounds like a religion. You've got the Original Sin, polluting the planet, you've got the solution to do all of your life, sacrificing stuff good for you and not minding paying ecological taxes, and you've got the threat if you don't do it.

By 2020 we will start the worlds first fusion reactor in Cadarache, France. It is called "ITER".
By 2050 commercial fusion reactors will start to free us from use of oil. It will be safe and clean: the same reactions as the stars. It produces no high level radioactive waste, and can't explode.

I have faith in Man. I think violence was learned in the past, and its not our nature. Thats why people like to play violent video games. Its a virtual reality, and we fill the urge for violence without committing it. Because deep down, its not our nature. And Birth teaches us that, thats why women are more connected to the earth right now for the most part whether they realise it or not. I felt it was beautifuklly done, and I dont feel we sould abandon earth, it was chosen as a bio-lab.

When I look at the bedazzling images in this film I realize just how far disconnected we are from nature. I listen to artificial sounds of nature to relax its quite sad actually LOL. We need to start respecting the natural world around us all the vanities of this world are useless if you don't have peace of mind. Praise the Creator of this beautiful Universe.

hey everyone listen i have funny paradox for you. maybe mankind's purpose IS to destroy and consume. maybe that is literally the reason we are here, and the reason we naturally behave like mold or a tumor. I think that in the end mankind will destroy the earth no matter what, and probably the universe, our technology will cause a new big bang, and everything will start over/ maybe mankind is like a fire that burns down the old dead forest to make way for life to start fresh?

When in reality, we need hate to have love, we need violence to have peace, male female, whatever it is, it's like nothing can exist without having an opposite or something else to relate to, and i mean everything is like that. from thoughts to physical reality to everything, so why do people bother thinking one way, when that way means nothing without its opposite

@jeffbriggs1987 yeah, there's been a lot of theories about those opposites (for example, yin-yang)... if I'm not mistaken, one of the greek philosophers built his entire theories on those opposites (as in... 'down' is really the same as 'up', just from another perspective... stuff like that)
so yeah, I get what you mean ^^ although I don't believe this makes it right for us to destroy it, we still have the choice to do better... but there's definetly smth there about what you said too.

@jeffbriggs1987 Well, we def have the means to. There is 3x enough nucular weapons saved up in the world right now, to blow up the world. It would be almost instant. but we also only use 2% of our brains right now. Because we are lazy, we could fuck ourselves over. But because we have potencial, we could save our selves. For instance, why not put Air Filters on on the bottom of our bumpers? Change them routinly, maybe with your oil or when you fill up on gas. Practical, and yet...
