I really do not see Obama as stupid or dumb. The man is quick on his feet can handle himself in unscripted territory where the
Questioners and antagonists are out to peg him. His problem is he is president of a country owned by bankers, investers, and corporations. And he sees them as the solution to problems. His mistake is very common serve the money people more than the people that elected you.
The GOP has decided that the facts don't matter. They simply lie to the camera and when called on those lies, as Chris Matthews does to Susan Collins, they just smile and say it again.

Collins also lies when she says Abdulmuttalab quit giving information after 50 minutes of questioning. He's still cooperating and is a gold mine of information.
Obama's failure and impotence comes from one cause. You can never get anything through the congress and senate unless the proposed legislation does several things. It must diminish the freedoms, lower monetary strength , and limit the rights of the American people. George Bush changed more laws strengthened more corporations and limited more freedoms than anyone in the history of America. Presidential success is a measure of increasing indentured servitude and limiting rights of Americans.
I don't care if the guy would have had a lawyer either way and I don't care if we were able to get information that will help us prevent future attacks since it wasn't done the way I would have liked them to do it I am against it 100%. What did Susan Collins say that was a lie? How does her being concerned about the safety of American citizens make her a "terrible woman?" Is it just because she is criticizing and questioning Obama administration policy? That doesn't seem like a good reason for such a harsh and personal response by you.

When I find the clip of Maddow today about her, I will point out her lies. Also, Lindsey Graham. They just live in lies which is quite sad. I wish the right would just state facts and debate them, not lie, lie and lie more. It's so sad and pathetic. Hope to find that clip to prove what I say is not a LIE!
That's alright rrsrichard, if you have to get the information from Maddow I wouldn't believe it anyway. The truth is what Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham are saying is true, you just may choose to not want to believe it. Obama's policies concerning the treatment of terrorists are so irresponsible and reckless I know it's difficult to believe but it is, unfortunately, accurate.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That's so open minded of you on the Maddow, lol. It's cool, you continue to shut the truth out and just read the letter, that's all? I guess you don't trust Holder either, lol. The President is just following Bush's policy that's all. He didn't change a thing, am I correct? Bush tried 300 terrorist in the same manner. You don't have to believe me, it's just the facts. The truth hurts I'm sure, but it will set you free, lmao...
Okay, tell me the case where President Bush tried to move terrorists' trials to New York? Tell me the names of terrorists who were read their Miranda rights and supplied with an attorney? When did the Bush Administration close Gitmo with no idea where these prisoners would go? Sounds like new policy to me!
Give me news sources from anything other than MSNBS and I will look at it.
@rationalnow Scary when the KNOW we WILL have attempts at being attacked. I trust that Bush would have done his best to prevent another attack. Obama appeases the Muslims every chance he gets.
I can't figure out what the hell Obama thinks he's going to accomplish by these asinine policy changes. It just makes no sense! It will cost a fortune and put our country at risk. It's like a slap in the face to American citizens and an insult to our judicial system and the rule of law in our country!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Rational, you're really talking like a FAUX entertainer. You know these were Bush's policies. Please stop lying and using lying talking points. It won't work, at least not with me. I havent found any evidence of any conservatives criticizing Bushs position or his decision to try Moussaoui in a criminal court on American soil. You always end up a big hypocrite. Why is that?
@rrsrichard why would you expect bush and obama to be treated in the same manner? are they not to different men with two different sets of strengths and weaknesses? similar situation but an entirely different time.
whether real or imagined, bush was considered very strong on defense and was trusted at the time--would you say obama is percieved as being very good on national security?
no, obama is seen as a light weight on natil security.
till he proves otherwise he will have a hard time.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Bush had no strengths, sorry. He is and was a weak minded man. He had the Haliburton and Dicko. He was pathetic and ran out on this country. I'm hoping he and Dicko are brought up on war crimes. Terrible evil people.
the united states is not some sweaty arm pit of a nation in the south american jungle. 200 years of republic is largely contingent upon peaceful transfer of power. if a bush cheney trial were to happen, what do you think would happen when obama leaves?
you tell me george bush and his father--former CIA head and the only former pres that still reads daily intell briefings--wont be ready to take obama before judge judy?
charges that would include war crimes--indefinite detention?
LOL Metal. One thing you do have a sense of humor. So you're saying President Obama would be tried for war crimes when he's dismantled torture the Dicko and Bush implemented? Nah, they would be in jail and I'll take my chances on Judge Judy, she is fair and balanced. Bushes Daddy is an okay guy in my opinion, he just didn't rear his son well, but I'll give him a pass even on that one.

That Bush cost us a bloody fortune for his 8 years of his Presidency. He needs to be tried as a terrorist and I hope he and Chenny see their day in court. Did you think it was a slap in the face when Bush tried the terrorist here in the US. Do you want to change our Constitution now regarding providing an attorney for someone who isn't an American Citizen? WOW!!!!
Look, if you want my respect or expect me to listen to you, you have to stop with the hate, slander and name-calling, alright?
The Moussaoui trial was different because it was tried in a Washinton, D.C. suburb under strict government control. Moving the trial to New York was a insult to New Yorkers who suffered greatly on 9-11. Under Bush policy, terrorists were never given Miranda rights and the same rights as an American citizen. That's the difference you don't seem to understand!

Metal, I personally think Healthcare is in a crisis and Obama to the rescue. Get out of the way you NAY SAYERS, you are out numbered. Thanks for letting me say how I feel. :)
i respect your concerns and position on health care, but obama didn't come to the rescue he came to create a coup. he came to take 15% of the economy and was prepared to do it by any means necessary. bribes, payoffs, votes in the middle of the night---YOUR health care, your children's health care was being decided by a handful of politicians behind a locked door. a plan that they would make themselves EXEMPT FROM. nay sayers aren't outnumbered. obama is. that 's why he lost mass.
Excellent point. Liberal Democrats believe that the answer to all our economic problems is to blow more money and keep increasing our debt. They don't seem to give a s - -t that Americans are outraged with their reckless insane spending!
We may not agree on many things, Metal, but I'll agree with you on how Healthcare Reform has been handled as of yet. Simply terrible. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and we can continue to strive to give all Americans Healthcare coverage. I think you will agree November is a long way away in political time and we the Dems in power will make some great changes. That's my belief and hope. Cheers and thanks for the healthy debate, no pun intended.

Let's not forget that Rudy Giuliani, said he considered the Moussaoui trial a testament to the strength of our legal system and the American dedication to the "rule of law." he called the verdict "a symbol of American justice," and said the trial itself might improve Americas standing internationally. After Moussaoui was convicted by a civilian jury, the former mayor boasted, "America won tonight."

I see where you're coming from but I firmly disagree to a certain extent. Bush started it (the bail outs) which I think that is the only thing I agreed with him in 8 years. The President in my opinion has saved this country from demise. I think our Auto Industry will be very healthy indeed now, thank you my President. The President never took over the Auto Industry nor Wall Street. He's fixing it. Just got to get a handle on Wall St, looks like Bohner is trying to horn in on that one, lol.
You know you don't have to support Obama on everything just because you like him, right? You can use your own judgment and assess the validity of these policy changes on your own, you know. Many Democrats have done just that and are siding with the GOP in criticizing these reckless Obama administration policy changes.
How can you approve of giving an enemy combatant the same rights as an American citizen? Can't you see how dangerous, asinine and irresponsible that is?!

In 2002, the Bush Justice Department put Zacarias Moussaoui, an al Qaeda terrorist often referred to as the "20th 9/11 hijacker," on trial in a federal court near D.C. No one, at the time, said then-President Bush was putting American lives at risk or undermining U.S. national security interests with the trial. This is not from Maddow as I'm sure you well know.
the military tribunals were not even set up at the time of the moussoui trial and as someone that lives only a few miles from the moussaoui trial, i can tell you there was a helluva lot of worry and concern over security.

I am not going to apologize for calling Susan Collins a "retard", when in fact, she really is retard! Just listen to her talking! Her few brain cells did not fully develop!
You speak like you're an eleven year old. I literally am speechless after watching this video. Mrs. Collins speaks as if she was addressing a second grade class, which frankly might be the case when talking to devout right-wingers. If you want to believe the garbage that is oozing from her mouth, then go right ahead. Read Eric Holder's letter to Mitch McConnell that actually, unlike Mrs. Collins, uses facts to support an argument. Go ahead, mark my comment as spam. Continue living a lie.
You are right on target Benyeo117. All they have to do is read that letter from Eric Holder to that awful man McConnell. The right is a dying breed and as they get older, they will be less and less. I heard that the right is actually moving so much more to the right, it will soon have an effect on moderate Republicans and they will jump ship and come over to the correct side. :)

Obviously, obama is transferring power to government forcing Americans to become more reliant and dependent on government.

I would think if someone claims something, others would do some fact finding, like you and I. No they just go to FIX and they take what that lying station tells them and it's the word. It's all about fear, they are very afraid of everything, so the key word is fear, they want to continue to spread fear, because they know their sheep understand only that.

obama stormed into office under an impending economic catastrophy. if he wasn't given $800 billion dollars the economy could collapse and HURRY!
onto global warming where a cap and trade needed to be put into place FAST because our co2 footprint was so big.

The GOP has decided that the facts don't matter. They are going to simply lie to the camera and when called on those lies, as Chris Matthews does to Susan Collins, they just smile and say, "No, the Attorney General is lying, not me."
All defendants in US trials, military or civilian, get attorneys. Susan Collins knows this but still puts forth the lie that it is unusual.
Collins also lies when she says Abdulmuttalab quit giving information after 50 minutes of questioning. He's still talking.

What a filthy liar this terrible woman is. Shame on her, she needs to be voted out.
rrsrichard 2 years ago
What did Susan Collins say that was a lie? How does her being concerned about the safety of American citizens make her a "terrible woman?" Is it just because she is criticizing and questioning Obama administration policy? That doesn't seem like a good reason for such a harsh and personal response by you.

When I find the clip of Maddow today about her, I will point out her lies. Also, Lindsey Graham. They just live in lies which is quite sad. I wish the right would just state facts and debate them, not lie, lie and lie more. It's so sad and pathetic. Hope to find that clip to prove what I say is not a LIE!
rrsrichard 2 years ago
That's alright rrsrichard, if you have to get the information from Maddow I wouldn't believe it anyway. The truth is what Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham are saying is true, you just may choose to not want to believe it. Obama's policies concerning the treatment of terrorists are so irresponsible and reckless I know it's difficult to believe but it is, unfortunately, accurate.

The truth hurts I'm sure, but it will set you free, lmao...
rrsrichard 2 years ago

Why is that?
rrsrichard 2 years ago
@rrsrichard why would you expect bush and obama to be treated in the same manner? are they not to different men with two different sets of strengths and weaknesses? similar situation but an entirely different time.
whether real or imagined, bush was considered very strong on defense and was trusted at the time--would you say obama is percieved as being very good on national security?
no, obama is seen as a light weight on natil security.

you tell me george bush and his father--former CIA head and the only former pres that still reads daily intell briefings--wont be ready to take obama before judge judy?

LOL Metal. One thing you do have a sense of humor. So you're saying President Obama would be tried for war crimes when he's dismantled torture the Dicko and Bush implemented? Nah, they would be in jail and I'll take my chances on Judge Judy, she is fair and balanced. WOW!!!!
rrsrichard 2 years ago
Look, if you want my respect or expect me to listen to you, you have to stop with the hate, slander and name-calling, alright?
The Moussaoui trial was different because it was tried in a Washinton, D.C. suburb under strict government control. Moving the trial to New York was a insult to New Yorkers who suffered greatly on 9-11. Under Bush policy, terrorists were never given Miranda rights and the same rights as an American citizen. That's the difference you don't seem to understand!

i respect your concerns and position on health care, but obama didn't come to the rescue he came to create a coup. he came to take 15% of the economy and was prepared to do it by any means necessary. bribes, payoffs, votes in the middle of the night---YOUR health care, your children's health care was being decided by a handful of politicians behind a locked door. a plan that they would make themselves EXEMPT FROM. nay sayers aren't outnumbered. obama is. that 's why he lost mass.

Let's not forget that Rudy Giuliani, said he considered the Moussaoui trial a testament to the strength of our legal system and the American dedication to the "rule of law." he called the verdict "a symbol of American justice," and said the trial itself might improve Americas standing internationally. After Moussaoui was convicted by a civilian jury, the former mayor boasted, "America won tonight."

by the same token--how do you think bush would have been treated with 10% unemployment.
obama passed an $800 billion bill to keep unemployment below 8%. it is now at 10% and holding.
he was going to keep track of every dollar then his own website revealed cash going to districts that don't exist. jobs saved? obama made that up.

This is not from Maddow as I'm sure you well know.
rrsrichard 2 years ago

the military tribunals were not even set up at the time of the moussoui trial and as someone that lives only a few miles from the moussaoui trial, i can tell you there was a helluva lot of worry and concern over security.
