i go to the gym twice a day or go to the gym once a day then go for a run outdoors..hopefully if i were thinner i would be happier or i would meet a guy.. so i have to keep focus. i think you are inspiring.
Hi Lou! I just wantd to say that its been awhile since I've checked in to youtube, but since i favorited you, it brought me to this video right away and I would like to point out that you look so healthy and vibrant. Keep doing what you're doing because whatever it is, is making you shine even more and more each time I see a new video of yours. :) My youtube handle is ErykahJean if you ever want to see what I post, which will also have a lot to do with health and fitness. :)
@elizadoolittle25 Hellooo :) I do approx. 50 minutes treadmill and then 15 minutes weights - sometimes do X-trainer or stepping machine. At the moment I'm just trying to increase the length of time I can run for because I'm working on getting my fitness up... Feeling so so porky after Xmas, thought the munching would never end! As for eating less on days I don't go to the gym, I guess this is true to an extent, although I'd phrase it as I eat MORE (deliberately) on days when I do go to the gym.
The one thing that makes me glad about my parents forcing me to remain a member of a competetive swim team from the age of 5 is that I have absolutely no qualms about wearing a swimsuit to a pool. Oddly enough, ask me to don a pair of shorts in the summer and I'll break out into a sweat but thankfully I've never given much thought to bearing more flesh in a swimsuit!
Excellent video once again Lou! Really informative and helpful as per!
It's good that you talked about this, because exercise is an important part of recovery. It's something most people should be doing to maintain a healthy lifestyle. At the beginning of recovery, no, it's probably not a good idea, but later on it's appropriate to reintroduce exercise in moderation. Black and white thinking is so characteristic of EDs, so being able to exercise at a 'normal' level is a big step away from the disorder. Congrats on being in such an improved mental place, Lou!
Love your Christmas tree!!! Great video. I agree exercise can be a great natural anti-depressant as long as its in a self-therapeutic manner, not torturing manner. :) I think in the end its just being honest with yourself and making sure you take care of yourself. Thanks Lou! Merry Christmas!!!
It's so hard for me, my parents took my gym membership away from me because of my Anorexia and I just feel like a lazy fatty! I sit in front of the heater all day in trackies; I'm not allowed any exercise :( I wish I was at that stage where I could recover but it's obvious what I really want.
I know where you are coming from Lou, I am also very self-conscious about the bum! It is funny to hear someone else really say it. I feel it looks too "saggy" even with a dress on so, so I try not to let it get to me. Instead of hiding it I try to wear bikini anyhow (kind of like climbing high even though you're scared of heights). It helps to think of other women and what they might be self-concious about with their bodies and that still many of them will go to the beach and strut their stuff.
Thanks Lou...I know I need to stay away from the gym until I change my mindset <3

I love working out - personally, exercising and sports really HELPED me completely recover. I exercise because I love it and love being strong. :)
