Is this supposed to be played by two persons or Satie just had enormous hands ?? Also, you seem to need a pedal (I have an electronic keyboard w/o a pedal) cause a few notes have to be pressed down for a long long time
@nosojdjos it is for piano solo. many pianists can reach 10+ notes. apparently we are not one of the fortunate. yes, the sustain pedal is used in this piece.
In the second to last measure of part B, the bass reads A and G#, yet I see others play it as a G natural. The G natural sounds less dissonant, but the G# is what is written in the music. All the sheet music I have found for this piece features G# (or at least an unnaturalized G#).
@two2birds can't see a part [B]. what time mark? satie would add something dissonant to be funny. i played as my sheetmusic indicated. note that classical piece editions often vary. you might want to check for different versions on imslp.
@bbdhrggl For instance, 1:54. You play an Em7 (E-G-B-D) instead of an E7 (E-G#-B-D). The version I have, and all I checked on imslp don't naturalize the G# in that measure. The same goes for 3:02, where you play A and G in the bass, as opposed to A and G# (the G# isn't naturalized in that measure either, at least in my sheets). So I'm confused.
@bbdhrggl You know what? I confused myself. I knew the piece modulated to A minor and mentally added G# (from A melodic minor). Nevermind my question. Sorry.
@hakkeboef68 because there is nothing to explain. my finger movement applies regardless of language. but the real reason is my tutorials are for those who play by ear or follow the sheetmusic. so if you still want to try, focus on my finger movement, and imitate. good luck

@two2birds i'm looking at my score now and getting very confused by your question. The key is D major with F# and C#'s. Do not see G#'s anywhere.
