Marc Singer was never a great actor but I loved how Donovan seemed so eager to beat the visitors and get his son back without it becoming annoying. Compare it to the actors in the 2009 remake who didn't seem to care or even know what their motivations were. They were like a cast of zombies.
Also notice how he was never able to pronounce words that ended in "-ity" eg at 3:47 :)
