  • So rare to find a song that brings every person of the world together, in modern music there's too much division between black and white music. We need more like Paul!

  • Woodstock needed dozens of bands and several days for it's crowd to have that much fun. Paul Simon only needed himself. He's like the Chuck Norris of musicians.

  • anyone else notice the naked fella at 1:59? haha

  • Ive never seen a crowd go nuts like that! Such an amazing vibe they got going.

  • 3:48 Even my balls got up and grooved to that sexy bass lick.

  • This is the way ALL concerts should be - in the open air with plenty of room for dancing, especially group dancing! Loved those lines that looked like they were going to dance right 'round the stage. Gotta get me to a concert soon. {sigh}

  • wish the world could be like the audience in this crowd all races with no problems just good times.....maybe in another thousand years sad but true

  • @jiggva

that was southern Africa in the 80s and first few years of the 90s, its kind of sad what has happened -there was so much potential , it was real nice with blacks and whites all cool with everyone before bad things started and corruption kicked in..................hearing this song and seeing the people brings back memories of bygone era that will never return

  • @jiggva This is Zimbabwe in the 1980s

  • @jiggva totally, the Chinese are not a race

  • AGAIN! We were Americans in SA in 1964. My father was there for Colgate -Palmolive to open a factory there. He had done this throughout Europe since 1961. Anyhoo. I was only eight years old. A man showed us the most beautiful blankets I have ever seen and when we tried to pay him, the man that was in charge made him give them to us. We snuck back to the village that night and gave him 200 USD. My father is an honorable man. The blankets are still in our family along with other Zulu artif

  • @RDHDTM what a great story. Thank you for telling it. I hope that $200 was used to give them a better life, at least for awhile.

  • Hugh Masakela on trumpet

  • looks like black people make better audience members as well as musicians hahah

  • Nuthin' like havin' a good time, audience!

  • Wow, all 17 whites left in Zimbabwe are here in one audience. If you want a good cry, watch the movie 'Mugabe and The White Farmer' and read the excellent book 'The Fear: Robert Mugabe and the Martyrdom of Zimbabwe' by Zimbabwean Peter

    Godwin.

  • I'm performing this at my school next week :) slighty shitting myself....

  • I love this song, this one is a funny version you might like. Paste /watch?v=mQIEjRtTJ5I un the URL to follow.

  • Paul looks happy...

  • "Why am I soft if the middle?".. and the rest just gets better " all along there were hints and allegations" "maybe its his first time around" this song is so Global...."If you be my body guard I can be your long lost pal.. "he's sees angels in the architecture"

  • @tippie1994 I would agree with you, but I didn't exist yet, so I don't remember those times unfortunately.

  • Bakhiti kumalo on bass señores!...

  • invisible laserguns at 0:57 - 1:08:

    pew pew, pew pew!

  • So Great! The only reason I can think for 23 not to like it would be if they happened to be roly poly little bat faced girls.

Also, 3:28 for smallest halter top ever...

  • His cute. I sang this in sch.

  • Snoop a Loop on drums! haha

  • I miss the 80's so much! What I'd give to go back to the 80's!

  • This video is the embodiment of a perfect song. Arrangement, songwriting, muscianship, performance, and the outright delirium of the audience.

  • back when music and lyrics meant something..

  • @zmcband Sigh... Put off your nostalgia goggles. There's still plenty amazing music.

  • this is music. not what they play now on radio. When someone says i am artist they were. i am still waiting for the generation "artist" to come out. Musicians back then stood for something not just money and fame

  • @1977cyn There are still plenty musicians like that. Don't be ignorant.

  • Nothing says pure happiness like a giant mob of dancing people.

  • i love paul simon and his sweet dance moves :)

  • Approx 1% of the population at anytime are idiots

  • 2:30 = my future wedding dance

  • Amazing performance, amazing people in the crowd :)

  • Na-na-na-na has never sounded so lovely:)

  • Music like this could be the savior of the world if we could just get rid of POLITICANS and DICTATORS.

  • wow that would be so great to be there! a lot of people over the whole world can learn how to be happy and party just by watching this great public/

  • !!! I love this song from time i was in my teens thank !... Paul !!!

  • looks like an incredible show

  • This man is a musical genius.

  • The bass solo by Bakiti Khumalo is actually not his on the album. On the album, Paul Simon used a synclavier for the first part of the solo, then reversed the tape for the second part of the solo. So the fact that Khumalo can play it like this is...well...wrong.

  • Look at the cheering and united rainbow-nation ... like when was this? Anyways, great example of the true power of music

  • @tomitox07 1987. I believe.

  • @tomitox07 1986. Right before the end of apartheid. And interestingly enough, the same year Vladimir Horowitz returned to the Soviet Union to play his great concert. Music has power to subvert tyranny. I'm convinced.

  • This will never in my lifetime fail to take me to heaven on earth. Just says it all.

  • I'm going to see him this year!

  • This is FANTASTIC..-The meaning of life capsueled in 5 minutes of sound and video.

Btw: The drummer in 2:20 looks like Snoop Dog..

  • @TheMiwer Deff snoop dog!

  • Racism - wtf?

  • Summer Feeling :D

  • I'd have enjoyed beeing part of this generation !

  • thumbs up if you saw the naked guy
