There are some console commands that change the colour, I think...

As for the thickness you need to increase your resolution. Check the Options>Video>Screen resolution settings to make sure you have it at it's highest... and if you do, then a new monitor is in order :)

i think i know what the problem is with the tanks, i still dont own L4D2 but i know that Realism, one thing about it is that you cant see survivor outlines through walls, so..

maybe the tanks die because they cant find the survivors? i know tanks die after a while if they cant get to them but because the tanks cant see the survivors through walls they are like "durrrrr i is lost" and just give up and stab themselves in the head

You're right that the Tanks die because they can't find the Survivors, but the see through walls indicator is only a visual trick for the player's benefit. Getting rid of it wouldn't affect the AI unless they specifically programmed it to ignore it's normal behavior and work via line of sight.

It's a lot more likely that it's just crappy pathfinding programming and luck.

Normally Sniper Rifles can pretty much kill a zombie in one shot. In realism it takes about two or three unless it's the head.

This wouldn't be so bad if the magnum didn't still retain it's ability to kill zombies from one shot at any body part. It just makes them rifles seem really underpowered by comparison.

If you're wondering why the Tanks just suddenly die, they work in a similar way to when a Player is controlling them. If they don't attack the Survivors, they will just die by themselves.

It's almost as if the Tanks have a need to kill unifected beings, and if they don't meet that need, the infection just kills the Tank (just speculation).
