  • Taurus makes a great pistol, I've owned three, liked 'em as well as my Colts,Smiths, etc. People who say their quality is bad are fucking stupid.

  • Taurus PT 92 AF with the rail is an excellent defense pistol, in which you do not have to practice everyday to be proficient. It is also ambidextrious for us south paw left brains.

  • Beretta uses an alloyed frame which is softer and does not last as long. Also mags are expensive and not as good as Taurus's. Get the stainless mags if you can. Beretta moved the decocker to the slide because the Army said it was hard to take the safety off while it was still in the holster.

  • Taurus uses a sintered metal technology in the manufacture of it's frame called METAL INJECTION MOULDING.Instead of forging at high temperatures which could induce stresses in the finished metal, Taurus Inc. uses powdered metal injected into a precision moulding at very high pressure and temperatures. The finished product is a nearly flawless frame and slide in which the metal tougher;more precise tolerances=longer wear and greater accuracy.

  • The original Beretta 92 series had a frame mounted safety/decocker. Taurus retained that, whereas Beretta moved it to the slide. A lot of people don't like that saying its hard to reach, I'm not one of them, having shot both and I have a Beretta 92FS Centurion (same as the regular 92FS, just a shorter barrel and slide, frame is the same as a regular 92FS) I have no problem reaching the controls on it. Either one would serve you well.

  • Looked to me like a taurus PT92 AF which I have 1 I also have a beretta 92 ur right about the place ment of the safteys but to me it lookes like a frame mounted saftey not a slide mounted saftey. (look @ the end when he sets it down notice the ambeducterious saftey taurus has it beratta dosent).

  • Um, isn't that a Beretta 92?

  • Taurus 92's and Beretta 92's are pretty much exactly the same.

  • Sure, but the Beretta has a slide mounted safety like the one in the video. Taurus, of course, has the frame mounted safety.
