The horsepowerrate varies, but an average of 7000 - 9000 is possible.

The first you see, is powered by 3 Allison aircraft engine's, aprox. 2750HP each.

The General uses turbine at 2000+ HP each, and the V8's that powered the last one will do 2200HP if tunend to the max..

The General puts down 12,000 horsepower. Those engines cost a ton. They dont break as much as the v-8s do, but the rear ends tend to break more frequently (i wonder why!)

ok the tractor is trying to pull the sled(the one behind) wich has weights that move forward that moves more weight on to the tractor making it harder to pull the sled. They are Trying to make a full pull or 300 Feet, if they do a full pull they come back the next round with more weights on the sled, making it harder, basicly the father you go the harder it gets,
