It's true, he told me I should go die because he didn't agree with a politely worded position I outlined in a comment on one of his videos.

Actually he dedicated an entire video to telling me I should go die, it was enlightening as to his character considering we were on supposedly good terms up until then.

He never apologised, though he did show himself to be a hypocrit on more than one occasion and never replied when called on it.

From what little I saw of him he always seemed like a bully and general all round smarmy cunt. He made a video ages ago trying to intimidate mathfails in a similar way to which he recently tried with pyrrho. He thought mathfails was 'dangerous' for promoting 'psychometric drugs' (by this I think he meant psychotropic drugs but it just goes to show his ignorance of the subject). Being a general twat and ignoramus on YouTube is fine, trying to intimidate others into silence is not.

I typically resort to it only when I've been forced to the conclusion that the person is both unwilling to try or incapable of being open-minded enough to consider an alternative point of view, or when they're simply and obviously not out here to make a positive contribution. I tend toward efficiency over patience...a bit draconian of me, perhaps, but then I don't have as much time remaining to me as others might...
