Hay varios millones de armenios viviendo fuera de su país pero no han perdido sus costumbres milenarias. Hovhaness (1911-2000) comparte la tradición occidental convertida en varios centenares de obras que mezclan la tonalidad occidental con melodías asiáticas. En América Latina se conoce poco su música ,que el pianista Morales ha penetrado impregnándose del misticismo que rodea la suite Shalimar ,que honra los jardines de Lahore, Pakistan (siglo XV).Excelente Victor.

I just love Alan Hovhaness' music, it's refreshingly different, mystic, beautiful, and never becomes boring to me. My favorite composer.

Interesting. Another composer I had never heard of. I very much appreciate the courage and conviction it takes to stray from the beaten paths in order to share new and exciting (it is!) things with the public. Bravo!

Un placer escuchar ésta inspirada, fresca e interesante obra en las manos de Victor ,que da la impresión de conocer y tocar como suya . Una inspirada interpretación única. Un sonido y claridad que me remite al ser humano que es Victor y se confunde con el quehacer artistico que le es propio.Felicidades.
