Thank you for posting the Footscray song, my husband Graeme Dorning a Bulldog member has just passed away, I have sent him off to heaven in his old Footscray T shirt and his new Western Bulldogs jacket he got for his birthday in October He loved the Bulldogs and he will go out tomorrow with this song been played. He always said they shouldn't have changed the name...

Thanks for posting. I support Carlton, but always liked this old Footscray song. It's of a much higher quality than thier current song. They should play this one during Heritage Round.

I am an Eagles fan but this is the best club song in the League and we could hear it all over again in 2012 when they change their name back to Footscray in order to avoid confusion with Western Sydney.

Footscray has to be the biggest joke in the AFL, I mean, they don't even have a name. Western, what the hell is Western? They've been in 2 grand finals in nearly 100 years of playing, and won one, WOW. They are the type of arseholes that go on about the Colliwobbles yet we see Western make the preliminary final every other year and lose it, whilst Collingwood has won 15 premierships. You will probably only be around another 12 years before you're the next Fitzroy, hopefully sooner.

@AustralianTVChannel According to Jim Main's column in Inside Football this week, there is a push by Dogs members to have the Footscray name reinstated but the suits don't want t change. I urge all Dogs members to pressure the club to change the name back to Footscray once again.

Footscray changd there name and logo and there brand. they are no longer FFC. Yes there still alive. but in 1996 FFC died. The song changed also that year to the 'sons of the west'
