I agree that Stalin was worse than Hitler, and Russia DID NOT save europe, not at all. Whole eastern europe was tied to communisim for half a century. I wouldnt praise Churchill either...he couldve saved many lives but he just didnt want to in multiple occasions. Real heros in war are soldiers who game their lives for their country.
I think the Battle for Stalingrad was a really interesting event in history. Just like the Battle of Britain and the Spanish Civil War. There's no doubt that they were all horrific but I just find them really interesting. It really shows the iron will of the Russians. Very admirable-not Stalin obviously but the Russian people definitely.

Well as far as I know Stalin didnt live with luxuries, all he left after his death was a coat and some roubles. Even if some of the nomenklatura lived like aristocracy, there werent 101 billionaires like in Russia today. To be able to judge on the distribution of national income in USSR u need some indicator of inequality of the rent distribution such as the Gini coefficient. Idk the Gini coef. for USSR but im sure its less than todays Russia (0,40) or USA (0,47)

The Yugoslav Partisan movement led by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia & Albania's anti-fascist resistance led by Enver Hoxha.

It's pretty much universally agreed upon that Stalin killed more than Hitler. Hitler went after a couple of ethnic and religious minorities who were ultimately few in number, at least percentage-wise.
Stalin was a communist who eradicated entire segments of society. He was a proleterian supremascist and murdered entire classes of peasants, ex-aristocrats, professionals, intellectuals. By the 40's he had established an annual victim quota for each province in the USSR

It is fake. Stalin did not make speech after German attack. Molotov did. Stalin was having nervous break down and haven't been seen and heard from for 10 days after June 22 1941.

@Conorlocke Have to say, 80-90% of German casualties were caused by Russians. Americans and British didnt do even nearly as much fighting as Russians did. I agree that Stalin was worse than Hitler, and Russia DID NOT save europe, not at all. Whole eastern europe was tied to communisim for half a century. I wouldnt praise Churchill either...he couldve saved many lives but he just didnt want to in multiple occasions. Real heros in war are soldiers who game their lives for their country.

I think the Battle for Stalingrad was a really interesting event in history. Just like the Battle of Britain and the Spanish Civil War. There's no doubt that they were all horrific but I just find them really interesting. It really shows the iron will of the Russians. Very admirable-not Stalin obviously but the Russian people definitely.
