The original Muppet Show was filmed here in the UK as none of the American Networks would take it on, whereas the British have always got the muppets sense of humour!

CBS was already impressed by Hensons commercials and numerous TV specials and how successful they had been in North America and had already agreed to show it in syndication when ATV took it on for production. ATV was pretty much in a "no risk" position as they already had an overseas pre-sale.

This makes me happy from head to toes. Adore each and every Muppet and am thrilled that one of the key band members of FOTC has shared his artistry with the beauty and the beasts. I think Bret should make room for that gold dude.
