Guys, let me explain. I think everyone will agree with this. PC is for the hardcore gamers, and also office work that requires software exclusive to Mac. Mac can run Windows, but I'll leave that alone, because Windows can run Mac as well. Macs, particularly Macbooks, are great for someone who really isn't into gaming, but using it for music, movies, photos, travelling, and basic work functions, like Office. It's almost always relative to the situation. I'm sure we can all agree on that.

People don't seem to understand that a Mac IS a PC. PC stands for personal computer and a Mac is in fact a personal computer (which should be obvious.) Even a laptop of any kind is considered a PC. Mac may have their own hardware, and that makes their product proprietary, but they are still a PC. If they are comparing their operating systems (like they often do), they should say "I'm Windows and I'm Mac" or something to that degree.

I put Mac aside from the other brands I mentioned because of the proprietary hardware. If you have Mac hardware, I really doubt you're looking to use Windows software, but you could go into the store and ask if there is a computer that runs the Windows operating system.

@WinVistaUser2 Vista had no problems for me since day one, though you should consider checking the event log, and run security updates (vista's kernel is very good in fact, it is used in the server versions of win).

It's true: most people have macs on college campuses. Which means that most students don't get the 90% student discount on Windows OS's, but rather the WHOPPING $50 student discount on a Mac.

Anyone that uses a Mac are simply too dumb or not familiar with tech stuff. I like to call Mac a "beginners toy" because thats what it simply is. It's for inexperienced people that don't know how to properly build a good PC. But hey apple is making profit selling people 6 year old technology for 2000$+ when it should be 500$. hehehe. Superstable OS... The snow leopard is a very unstable crap. I used it and i hated it, and windows seven is a lot better in stability. And actually, macs are virus gates so you cant be in a network with a pc, so working with macs are like having a rock in my shoe.
This ads make no sense anymore (if them make sense in the past, which i doubt it)

pc is way better than mac. i've used a couple of macs, both of them were buggy.
It was screwy tring to open a new window, the desktop was hard to navigate, and i could barely use features it had. MAC ANHNILATED MY INNER SPIRIT WITH TS NEVER ENDING CRAPPYNESS!

dipshit. louis69, mac doesn't get viruses. thats the whole point. you don't have to buy tons of spyware to avoid the problems. i switched for pc to mac, and have had it for three years without a crash. my pc didn't go for three weeks without a problem

viruses probably wont affect your pc unless your stupid enough to turn the firewall off or download a file with a virus in it.
and the reason macs dont get viruses is because their only a small percentage of the market share, so nobody makes viruses for them. the problem is when somebody does make a virus for a mac and you get it your screwed because mac users usually have bugger all protection, due tothe fact that they think "macs don't get viruses"

Yeah why would you want a Mac. I mean I love wasting untold hours of my life running scans on my microsoft pc. Also PC can get viruses way faster than mac. I so enjoy having to clean my pc of viruses all the time its soo fun. PC has way more virus and security software to throw away my cash on. I also love it when I run a virus scan and my already paid for virus protection software can't remove a virus. Yeah Macs suck all you can do is turn them on and have no issues thats sucks. People don't seem to understand that a Mac IS a PC. PC stands for personal computer and a Mac is in fact a personal computer (which should be obvious.) Even a laptop of any kind is considered a PC. Mac may have their own hardware, and that makes their product proprietary, but they are still a PC. If they are comparing their operating systems (like they often do), they should say "I'm Windows and I'm Mac" or something to that degree.

It's a machine that has a screen, a motherboard with a processor, a power supply, ram, a hard drive, and everything that a computer has in it. I think that makes it a computer. It's hard to understand what you're trying to say because your sentences are all blended together and any points you are trying to make seem to clash with one another.

@MrJumper68 I suppose it would depend on if you're looking to buy a desktop or a laptop. Either way, the hardware will depend on the brand you buy (like IBM, Dell, HP, etc) or Mac. I put Mac aside from the other brands I mentioned because of the proprietary hardware. If you have Mac hardware, I really doubt you're looking to use Windows software, but you could go into the store and ask if there is a computer that runs the Windows operating system.

@FreddyFog150 We all know that PC stands for personal computer mate. But in order to use short words for everything, Mac is a short enough word to use for native OS X based machines. PC is a short enough word to use for a computer, but since you would say Mac if it's made by Apple, a PC is whatever isn't Apple. In other words, PCs and Macs. It would sound a bit weird to walk around and say "I'm using a Windows." instead of I'm using a PC. If anything, "I'm using a Windows based PC." But... why?

@Xraijs Believe me, I get what you're saying. It bothers me that people use these terms not knowing the real differences between the machines I suppose. I started using a computer in 1994 and I didn't call it a PC. I called it a computer (since only desktops were used). Depends on what time you started using computers I guess. I need to just let people call it what they will call it.
