Love fishing for leopards but cant find a way to save my bait from those darn crabs any tips or suggestions???

"Yea" I know what you mean bro about them crabs,,,,What I do is I use whole squids or big peaces of mackerel so that if the crabs are around it takes them longer to eat my bait,,,,There's really not a lot you can do if theres a lot of crabs around,,,just check your bait more often,,,,,I hate those darn crabs!!!!,,,,,,,,"Peace"...

If you catch them from the surf, the smell and taste better, because of the cooler water. I dont usually like to keep them though.. they are just too damn pretty. Anyone ever tell you that you sound like PENN from penn and teller?

Dam dude thanks a ton i took ur advice a few weeks ago and i bought a few dozen mackerel and i was catching them all day.

i caught a ton of leopards and 7 gills and only 2 rays and a few sand sharks and now i cant wait for next week when i go again

"YEA",,,,,They love Leopard sharks and are always so happy when I bring the the filleted meat to them,,,,A lot of my friends eat Leopard Shark also and they say that they taste good too!!!

Well for sharks and rays in the bay I love to use "old smelly" squid (the older the better),,,,,But what I also love to use that works great is "mackerel",,,,,When you use mackerel you'll catch less rays and more and sharks,,,,,I hope you catch a Monster!!! looks like ur using a carolina rig.. that a 3ounce weight? what line and size hook are you using?

Well they have been sighted at the mouth of the San Francisco Bay just under neath the Golden Gate Bridge,,,,but I have never heard of one going in further then that!
