  • wtf? poor mouse!

  • found a spotted wood owl here in singapore, may try the same thing! just to see if it works. will put the vid up if it does!

  • and the vid? =C

  • You should post that again but in slow motion.

  • These owls used to feed in burns and clear-cuts, and now are finding food scarce.

  • Actually, Spotted Owls do not prefer to enter large areas open to the sky. This is why habitat fragmentation (small chunks of old growth separated by large areas of clearcut) is a seriously bad approach to land management.

  • The owls are fed for research purposes. They are captured and banded at birth and feeding the owls allows researchers to get close enough to examine the bands and identify bird migrations/movements/nesting patterns.

  • That is too cool! Thanks for feeding an endangered species too. ;)

  • amazing

  • WOW. josh, thats frigin awesome . . . envious.

    keep up the trekin . . .

  • holy crap. i'm blown away, and i'm watching it on freakin youtube, can't imagine what it was like for you all there (just another day for mae i suppose)
