That's basically an epistemological (rather than strictly philosophical) perspective. However, I really don't have any problem with that illusion! I'm mostly an Industrial music than a grunge fan myself. I can go for a little Alice in Chains, but as far as grunge goes, I really find most of it starts to sound pretty dull after a while (with the exception of Nirvana!). Pearl jam, to my ears = you hear one you've just about heard them all.
Im unfortunately stuck to alot of 1990's and 80' you wanna know what band is pretty gay: Rush, I dont know I just dont like high pitched voices that much, but my all time favorites would have to be, pink floyd, radiohead, rammestein, red hot chilli peppers and STP.
Now I admit nearly every grunge singer sounded like eddie vedder, bands such as creed steal eddie vedder's and pearl jam's style, but I bet you like U2.
Yeah, I'm a big proud gen-Xer myself, so of course I go for 80s / 90s music a lot. Good call on U2 - lol - mostly albums before and including Europa (like '95 or so that was). Don't know Rush so much. I was often thought of as gay for being a Modehead (Depeche) in school. ;-)

If I were raped by man, or prostituted myself, I would not enjoy it, and I would not consider myself homosexual for the duration of the intercourse.

AColonDashSix: Why ask gays? All you have to do is ask any straight man if he could make the choice to fall in love and have sex with another man. He'll soon tell you if it's a choice or not (you'll get an answer from a straight person, not a gay one). Thousands of gay school kids are bullied each year and that's not a choice for them (they're not having sex with any gender). Not having sex doesn't change your sexuality, it's not like "not killing someone stops you from being a murderer".

I admit it is true, you can make accustum to certain likes and dislikes. Perhaps some do this, but seriously, do you think it is a choice one would want to make? it is a difficult life-style. As for standing up to nazis, i understand how it seems so insane to do it. but once felt the same way. but i learned the value of resisting and aggitating, but that is a long opinion, i may do future vlog about it, it is harder for me to explain than can do here.

You dont have to sand up to the skinheads, you can just keep your distance, keeping away from places that attract skinheads like gay parades and other festilities. If there wouldent be gay parades, there wouldent be skinheads fighting with the gays. And no i dont think it is a choice one would like to make. But if one is accostumed to make that choice, what can he do? I just hope sicentists find out what makes a person gay.

I think NOTHING is a choice. A human is completely a product of his genes and his surroundings in the time and place he or she lives in. This applies to everything, including sexuality, religion, opinions and what you will eat for dinner tomorrow.

I think that's wrong. I've changed my religion- from church-going Presbyterian to Atheist. I've changed my diet from Omnivorous to Vegan, I've changed my opinions many times over, and I could very easily fuck a girl as I can a guy.
I do think it is very hard to change, and that we have no choice as to what we're born into.

@Ifoundher: I think it's because Presbyterians allow a little more free thought than most sects of protestantism. When I took this "confirmation class," I had to tour and discuss different religions, which involved attending a synagouge, mosque, eastern orthadox church, etc. In that way, I think it's pretty cool of them.

Every baby is born an atheist, after all. Your surroundings can make you religious, just like they can turn you into an atheist again.

Hi hungryhippo: I think that ultimately BF Skinner / you are right. I think free will is an illusion because really all we are is a very complicated chemical reaction. That's basically an epistemological (rather than strictly philosophical) perspective. However, I really don't have any problem with that illusion! We will never be omniscient, right - so free will is kind of a useful construct in that sense. I hope that makes sense...

The brain operates on complicated biochemistry. I'm mostly an Industrial music than a grunge fan myself. I can go for a little Alice in Chains, but as far as grunge goes, I really find most of it starts to sound pretty dull after a while (with the exception of Nirvana!). Pearl jam, to my ears = you hear one you've just about heard them all.

Im unfortunately stuck to alot of 1990's and 80' you wanna know what band is pretty gay: Rush, I dont know I just dont like high pitched voices that much, but my all time favorites would have to be, pink floyd, radiohead, rammestein, red hot chilli peppers and STP.
Now I admit nearly every grunge singer sounded like eddie vedder, bands such as creed steal eddie vedder's and pearl jam's style, but I bet you like U2.

Yeah, I'm a big proud gen-Xer myself, so of course I go for 80s / 90s music a lot. Good call on U2 - lol - mostly albums before and including Europa (like '95 or so that was). Don't know Rush so much. I was often thought of as gay for being a Modehead (Depeche) in school. ;-)
