It's been so long and god, I just cant belive, I still am so...obsessed with J.r.r. Tolkien's works. He was just such an incredible inspiration. I pick up LoTR and just read a few chapters now and again, and I enjoy going back. I love middle earth so much. As many feel, I wish the shire was my true home. I am very excited about the movie.. just kind of scared they will not capture it right, or change anything. Man, I feel very sad that Tolkiens gone, but his spirit does live on. great man!

i often feel a little bit of guilt/repulsion when i think about the resources that go into a $100+ million movie...isn't there a better use for all that money than some disposable blockbuster? but with lord of the rings, they create something so grand, and there's so many people working so hard and practicing their art on so many levels. there's no doubt in my mind it's worth every penny to create something that will last for generations.
