But there are no kits or anything to do that. Razer doesn't help you with it. And really, it would be quite hard and take hours and hours to edit it red. With the same light effects as it would normally have as a blue standard one.

@backhand630 yeah u can change led's but that'd be no less work then editing it in a video editor, besides in vegas pro i could make such video in like 10-20 mins at the most... so no it wouldn't take too long...

@vkmicro2 Dude really? Yeah incase you didn't notice this is not at all edited. This is purely done with changing LED's. That one button makes no difference, maybe a brighter LED? Who knows. Maybe with the initial blue lights it was like that? Use your brain a tad. Editing my friend is not what the world revolves around.

You guys have to remember that Razer changes their keyboard/mouse lighting on their products all the time, in addition to DPi, and responsiveness. This video was uploaded in 2008 and it was red. Now it's blue in 2011, maybe next year it'll be multicolored.

Very simple!! .. Screw it open, soddle the blue LED's off .. Buy some red ones .. Soddle those on .. screw it back together ... Mines green :)

@matteandcompany logitech>razer. i own a razer mamba and razer lycosa and their WASD cluster is bullshit. keyboard gets confused if too many buttons get pressed accidentally and freezes up. Garbage keyboards, nice mice. But logitech takes it home with good quality products all-around.

The mamba so far is okay. (not worth $120)

Logitech is worth the price, razer is not. Razer is cheap quality, you can tell by the firmware config. it looks horrible, not sleek but very amature

Well, I have a razer imperator and i regret getting it. It freezes up at the worst times while gaming or non-gaming and I have a friend that has a Razer Mamba and he's not impressed after less than a year. Same problem and the battery is not useless in general

Remember the 1000hz (1ms response time) is good only if you have a monitor that responds at 1ms

If anything, get a Logitech keyboard, headset a roccat mouse -Kone +- (roccat is big in europe), a steelseries mousepad.

i have a red one but i used a Led wire so its brighter all around (since if found no use in just only lighting up the WASD keys) though the wsad keys solo light up anymore replaced it because i got a new case for my computer that has red leds all over it.... thinking about opening up little windows in the palm rest on the end of the keyboard and useing some glow wire to make some design inside of it

Hey my warranty had juz ended and I will try this soon...multi-colored LEDs.

BTW, I hate the rubbery keys, most of them either gone sticky or letters being scraped off showing juz the bare translucent plastic keys. Couldn't any alphabets decals or else I will scrap off the rubber on all keys, repaint them to matt gun-metal black and coat them off witha gloss finish.

this is the lycosa, and it is actually red, coz my friend has it aswell, the reason its red is because its the hp branded lycosa, i dont know why razer let thme make it but thats why its red, i wouldnt recomend getting the HP version of the lycosa

Not so damn hard. You pop off the caps and switch the LEDs. To do that you unscrew the screw from the back and use a soldering gun to attach the new ones after you take the blue ones apart. Hard?

I KNOW HOW HE DID IT! There are only 6 LED lights in the keyboard, but it is lit up because of the same theory of as fibre optics. the light travels through the plastic and to the keys hence lighting it up. he must have replaced the 6 blu LEDs with red ones. Also, FYI there ARE separate LEDs lighting up the WASD keys. one each. so either he replaced those too or just sneakily edited the colour configurations in the video. and i can prove it too. anyway, YOU CANNOT BUY A RED LYCOSA!

its easy, ive replaced LED's in plenty of stuff. I actually took my lachesis mouse and replaced that with red led's and have done the same for my acrylic case. all you need are some rgb led's and a sodder fetish :)
