  • Aw i have this on video..little girl if you read this..come forward!!!!!!!!!he was a gentleman...what a shame presented with 'the medallion of life'only to pass weeks later, poor Elvis..over worked with same old stuff for 7 years,he was a blessing.Elvis presley liked blacks..look at the back up singers??his own idol was Jackie wilson.Feel so sorry for him here.

  • I would say this girl is the same age as I was back then. If it were me back then I would have just been on cloud 9. Elvis was so genuine to everyone!!!!!!!! Very loving, respectful, kind to everyone!

  • Elvis we will see you again ...and we know you are working for god now in heaven xxx god Bless you x

  • the mayor kind acts like he very nervous and about ready to crap all over him self,he like wow,im standing next to the king, long live the king!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he might of put wieght on but he was still very handsome and he never lost his voice i love the way he was with the little girl but it dose brake my heart to see elvis like this we love and miss u elvis

  • geez he is doped up and out of it bad. he soesnt even know where he is. this is not long before he died.

  • the humble man himself...look how he after he recieves the medallion of life from the little indin girl thinks of giving something in return. respect! elvis was a giver in all ways, and that what the world needs.gives me tears in my eyes to see him sick and in pain but still his concern is what he can give back to this sioux girl

  • @grasa90 why bring his colour in to it it dosent matter if he sang outher peoples songs he stayed on top for all those years beacuse of the way he did a song with passion and feelings thats why he is still number one today what outher singer still has as many fans today than elvis and he has been gone for 33 years

  • @grasa90

Why would you say this. Elvis grew up a poor kid in a black neighborhood. He put his whole career on the line during a live concert which played a song, "In The Ghetto"

A white person talking about the pain and suffering of blacks in the ghetto. Most of his music was written by whites too. Try not to hate white people, it will tear you up inside. Two wrongs don't make a right. Be better and overcome your pain.

    Love Chris.

  • @chrisregpic your right im sorry for my comment and elvis was a cool guy and a real star ! that day i have seen a video from big mama thornton singin hound dog and i feel that was wery not fair that i never hear from her just because she was black.Again sorry and i admired elvis too love and peace eddy

  • @grasa90 It takes GUTS to admitt you made a mistake and HONOR to apologize for it. A rare quality that should be admired.

  • @grasa90 thanks very much!

  • @chrisregpick Listen you can feel others pain...he lost his mum when he was 23,so he could relate to others, song was that connection.I get quite p'd off as us here in the UK would have loved to see him,i was too young but if he had gotten that chance to be outside the USA,vegas....he may be around today. But everything happens for a reason.Rest in peace Elvis,i'll get to your grave some day.Love from scotland.

  • GENT

  • Elvis was so big because of his talent but mostly because of his kindness and love towards everyone he ever met. He never had anything bad to say about anyone. Truly a unique individual.

  • nice and humble man---

  • Priscilla said in one interview they all tried to help, that they would switch his meds with placebos!! That is the most absurd idiotic thing ive ever heard, I guess if you think your taking the meds you dont feel withdrawall!!!!!! I guess it was supposed to end the way it did and theres nothing left to do now but just enjoy what we got!! Thankyou Elvis!!!

  • Did the sorry ass people Elvis had get her a scarf or not!!!! If i was him i woulda fired them all!!!!!!! I said get a f**king scarf for her!!!!Long Live The King RIP Elvis!!!! Love You Man!!!!!

  • The medallion of life for Elvis!!!!! The poor qaulity of the video doesnt do E. justice but shows so many great things about him! The kindness, the courage, He kept giving rite to the end and you know he had to feel like shit shit shit, man i have been there and to think he went before millions and performed WOW!!!!!

  • mein gott nochmal....hatt den niemeand diesen Mann zur Vernunft seiner Gesundheit aufgerufen....

  • I bet that little girl today feels like she's been blessed in some way and will always cherish this !

  • Elvis wears a cape like Superman. HE IS A SUPERMAN. Greatest entertainer in the History Of Man. Twentieth Century Icon. King Of Rock 'n Roll. I've waited and watched all these years for an equivalent to come along to take The Great One's place. Looks like I'm gonna die before that happens.

  • E had WORST sleeping disorder which afflicts surviving twins. The twin bond is formed in utero...not after birth. When E lost his twin at birth it was horribly traumatic. He also suffered horrible survivor guilt..he talked about it in adult life stating he always felt he somehow caused his twin's death. Night terrors, life threatening sleepwalking, insomnia all his life. He NEEDED heavy duty sleeping pills &uppers to function next day. Addiction. Chronic use of downers shuts down the intestines

  • Addiction to heavy downers causes severe digestive disease. The option for surgery was suggested but that obviously didn't happen. He also had painful glaucoma requiring needles injected straight into eye, high blood pressure, and an enlarged heart on one side. The heart condition was hereditary. Elvis needed pain pills to cope with his many ailments. That is main reason he is drugged. By then emotional pains were great also, very afraid a book coming out would make him look bad to family & fans.

  • E had gained some weight, that was also hereditary, and E hated that saying when he was young he had to watch it cause it goes straight to his face, just like his momma. But mostly E is bloated from toxicity from all the meds he was taking, and bloating from intestinal disease. There was little hope for E at this point. Nothing could have helped him. He could not get off the downers & uppers...which had eventually made him a very ill man. & E loved to perform more than anything. No stopping him.

  • He dedicated all his life for his fans... Thank you Elvis and thank God for sending him to us. Till we meet again Elvis... and we'll never be apart no more.

  • This is beyond sad to see. Elvis should have been in a hospital instead of going on stage.

  • elvis oli ja on hieno mies ja antoi itsestään kaiken koko sydämmestään.....upeaaa.......toista hänen laistaan tuskin koskaan tulee....

  • Elvis Aron Presley = Fine Man 0 I Love HiM 100 % . - Eero

  • Terrific man with a big heart!

  • hes music was very good and yes he took drugs but he also did 30 shows in 30 nughts in 30 citys before ppl judge need to know what he went threw hes lifes wasnt hes but hes music will live on long live the king if you dont like it take youre ass away from here

  • hey booneboon< your an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Elvis looks dope up.

  • a man like that should never have got to that state of illness, surely someone could have helped him. he's still number 1 though in anybodies book !! RIP king

  • I would've loved to have been that little girl :] He called her pretty TWICE and KISSED her cheek :DDDDDDDDD

I honestly am still head over heels over Elvis even after the late years of his life.

Such a beautiful man with a generous heart! We miss you Elvis!

    Peace

  • He looked so bad here. Less than two months later he was gone. I wish he could have taken a long rest and got his life straightened out. He could have been with us so much longer. Maybe even until today....

  • @kevinhof63 I totally agree! We've got Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Roger Daltrey, Rod Stewart, and so many others still rocking into their late 60's and beyond. It makes me sad (and mad as hell) that Elvis died at such a young age.

  • He is the f'in best !!! No one ever as good.

  • Elvis was wasted on something and yes he was bloated from all the pills he took just look at him and how he acted common sence.

  • he sure looks wasted, big baloon face, not sure if it was the pills or the years of burgers and fried peanut butter sandwiches,..look at the state of him, totally different than in his early days

  • i have these concerts on dvd, 3 concerts in all includeing THE 1977 CBS TV SPECIAL that was on tv 6 weeks after his death-great concerts

    jer

  • WATA GENTLEMAN

  • Wow great video

    compliments

  • This was totally awesome

  • I actually lke this clip, it shows his humanity. Elvis enjoyed meeting the girl, you can tell, and he appreciated the appearance award as well.

Never forget, Elvis was in charge of his song selection, from as early as 1954. He never sang a song he didn't believe in (perhaps other then some that appeared in his movies)

He enjoyed playing live, and didn't believe he had a drug problem. Elvis was a very stubborn man that did not like having his choices challenged.

  • Man I hope you guys don't take offense. I love Elvis but I have always noticed with this video Eilvis lokks like he had a stroke? I don't know if its the video or what but look at his face. But if you watch him in concert he looks heavy but fine. Don't mean to offend just something I notice.

  • hm what do you mean, explain. i dont really understand about strokes?

  • Perhaps if Col. Parker hadn't made Elvis sing all those schlocky middle of the road songs and star in those insipid movies and let him use his talent and love of music to its fullest extent Elvis would have been more fulfilled. But, of course that might have meant less sales for product Elvis.

  • bang on, i hate product Elvis....

  • and ultimately a much poorer elvis who loved the money and the lavish lifestyle that it brought him and he paid the price for it

  • You're just jealous cause you're not 1% the man he was on his worst day...lol I think even in this state he's beautifully humble and sweet...long live the King

  • @alaskaranger09 so true agree with u 100 per cent

  • damn that didn't really even look like elvis

  • I wanna be that girl!

  • oh so sad to see this clip for he was dead 2months later..

i see he remained gorgeous for he had the innocence of a child..so great and lovable

    we miss you

    RIP xxx

  • Part of Colonel Parkers modis operandi of dealing with Elvis over the years was to keep him working.

He knew Elvis became depressed, gained weight, took more drugs and just all around would degenerate sitting at home for long periods.

Colonel Parker's answer was to try and keep Elvis moving. Of course it made more money for him too, but Parker knew an idle Elvis wasn't good for himself or anybody else.

"Rehab"-he had dried out in the hospital lots of times, but always went back to the pills.

  • I wonder what Monique's memory of that encounter are today. Too bad she didn't get a scarf. BUT she got a kiss!

  • Check out "great old always behind the scean" Dad Vernon @ 1:54.

He should of had Elvis in Re-Hab rather than working in Rapid City, South Dakota here 8 weeks before his death.

But Elvis clearly is enjoying this very "Rushed Moment" with the Indian Girl, imo.

    RIP, a fan.

  • You are so right...

  • nice guy RIP MAN WE LOVE YOU

  • walk a mile in my shoes, said the man,he was a sensitive, generous and vulnerable man who lost his way..why dont the nasty twats with their own agendas leave it at that..

  • He was the original *Billy No Mates* He didn't have a friend in the world...He had to pay people to be his friends...What a sad old git.

  • When I first wathched this video I couldnt believe that only a few months later he would be dead. This was a man who died way too early in life because he had so much more to give.

  • Elvis does not want to LET GO of HER.. Everyone else is RUSHING him!!! Love, Joe Esposito, but even he seems rushed and hurried... Elvis seems to want TIME to stop!!!

Elvis doesn't want to say Goodbye!!!! He wants a scarf for her, etc... Sad!!!

Elvis was a special GIFT from God!!!

  • A man with great integrety .

  • Thats A Soiux Indian Eh? Im Almost The Same, Im Ojibwe , :P Its Kewl

  • Elvis was still getting it done right up to the end! he voice never left. None like him and never will be.I met hin in person and spend about 3 hours with him in 1956 and he had a magnetism you don't see often. He was a perfect gentleman and any man you loved his mother like he did had to be a good man. Ilov ed him not only as an entertainer but for the man that he was.

  • God Bless Elvis. He had a Heart of Gold.

  • Poor Elvis, he probably thought, "what the hell am I doing here ?".

  • elvis was LOVE

  • i personally think elvis is really sexy here, Ok he wasnt at his best and his health was deteriating but he still gives me shivers down my spine even here. I love him

  • kellyelvis1,

Thank you for caring about and "feeling" Elvis rather than how he looked on surface!

You see his glow, shiver from his essence, quiver from his spirit.

    Amen,

    Sister Tee

  • I´ll second that. I love him too - so much

  • Do you have the link for video of Elvis and ill child? It is another tearjerker. He loved children, was but a child himself, in adult body. That is why he died early, he was like a child, did not "get it" about harm of drugs.

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • Do you have access to the "rare and unreleased" videos or songs like those posted by marco31768?

    Message me,

    Sister Tee

  • Weight was in his genes.

Look at his mother, slim, then fat.

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • It doesnt matter what elvis looked like, or how he was i love Elvis just the way he is. yes its true that in the end he let himself go etc, but with the kind of life he had who cld blame him. Too many ppl used him and betrayed him, He didnt deserve that nor does he deserve all the critisizm. Remember the good things he's done dont just judge him on this clip alone. Elvis was beautiful even here. and i love him to pieces. Elvis rules 4ever.

  • I do not enjoy videos with Elvis fat on stage because you can see it bothers him and it bothers anybody who cares about him.

Like to hear Elvis sing? Buy it, play it, do not put him on display like a spectacle.

The colonel guy did not care that he collapsed and could not be revived. He just told them: "All that matters is that he be on that stage, on time."

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • If I judged him at all, which I cannot, this clip shows the heart of Elvis, way beyond the fat, which personally does indeed pang me to see him in pain. Few people know Elvis Presley for who and what he was. They go with the hype and jealousy remarks.

Little is said about Elvis the man who gave away most of what he had. That does not "sell." And, another thing, put early videos of him in slow motion and you will see he did not move as hyped.

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • never mind all that stuff what about the guy with the pipe i wonder if he was wearing slippers

  • i love e

  • very sad.

  • He really did not look as bad in 77 as that extremely poor quality video makes him look. Check out the site ElvisPlace and click on the photos from '77. Anyone would look bad on video of that quality.

  • why was I so wrong to say wot i said?? Given the circumstances I think none of you would be wanted to be seen in this way. I love Elvis, & I hate the fact he was used up til the day he died. Yes he wanted to do good, but please, for who??? He is being watched like a car crash victim & his song 'rubber-necking' goes out to all of you!

  • wow thanks so much 4 posting this

  • Happy Birthday Elvis. Thanks for posting this. It's soo exciting to see new footage that I never knew existed. Thanks again!!!!

  • what a man he was more worried about giving that little girl a scarf than himself when he obviously was very ill,it shows what a human being he was man there will NEVER BE ANOTHER.

  • And a brief glimpse of Ginger at 1.52.

I wish the Elvis Estate would release the 1977 Concert footage. It's MUCH better in musical terms than the '73 Hawaii gig. But all they think of is waistlines.

  • poor baby, it's breaks my heart to see this, but I still love him more than anything no matter what

  • Elvis didn't get fat b/c of eating, his medication made him looks that way ,it's not fat. some medication can make you over weight. he was lonely and had no one to care for him. his mother died, his wife run off with shit head like stone, the guys around were not true friends . how much a man can takes king or no king.

  • He wasnt fat, just not the skinny youth as before. He was very bloated from his high blood pressure, bad liver, and enlarged colon.Yes anyone could see the poor man is very sick-anyone who wanted to.

  • Elvis was fat, and bloated, swelling, fluid.

I know. I weigh twice what I should and it does not come from eating because I hardly do that and when I do it is little. In fact, I swell from heart down, not above.

Are you familiar with the poem Elvis did at several performances when he sang "Walk A Mile In My Shoes?" Love the man who had anointed voice. Remember, his grammys were for gospel, not rock.

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • who the fuck posted this?? This is a violation of Elvis when he was sick! This is horrible & its all wot u tube stands for when this kind of crap gets posted for all to see & comment on! RIP Elvis, u deserve more xxxx

  • Hey fer--I think it is posted to show Elvis'humanity even while he was sick. The violation was exploiting him and pushing him and not helping him.You have to love him as a human being when you watch this even though it is heartbreaking to see his condition. Look at the smile on the little girl's face.Thats what Elvis was about to the end.

  • Appreciate the sentiment, not the language.

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • this is an awesome!

  • It's so sad to see how sick he was, and all the enabling clearly going on - poor Elvis. What a loss.

  • You are right-but two months before his death he was more worried about getting that little girl a scarf than going on stage. Thats Elvis.

  • Elvis liked kids he had a soft heart he loved his Indian heritage,Rest in peace man

  • It's incredible he had the inner strength to keep doing live appearances when it is obvious how medicated he seemed to be. It had to be a horrible trap he was in, all his entourage relying on him for a pay check, all the fans wanting to see him perform, meanwhile in his head he knew his days were numbered. He changed music, he changed the world, we will never live to see another one like him.

  • Elvis was too polite to say no.

I do not enjoy videos with Elvis fat on stage because you can see it bothers him and it bothers anybody who cares about him.

  • mmm ...... i almost start crying when i see him like this because he was so cute before and i hate the fact that he died i love evis but ya know he stll lives on

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I had to watch this several times!

  • Man he looks so sick in this vid....

  • what else cld he do. he was a recluse cos he cldnt go out. his best friends write a book s=to spite him. guys he viewed as brothers. his wife left him for another. im talking as a person that understands. talk to any binge eaters. he comfort ate. he needed real help but wasnt a guy who wld admit it. I love elvis to bits

  • Alot of people don't realize how much this guy ate, and what he ate im not saying he should be perfect but he just got to the point where he didn't car one bit about how he looked like, another bit fodder, elvis died with over 67 pounds of feces in his system a real meat and potatoes kinda guy, very un-healthy you talk about being backed up. the back up was a result of the pain meds.

  • Pain from performing, to give what "they" wanted, those who "loved" him, actually those who "paid" to have him fill their need and emptiness in life, live through him and his music because he could present story of song better than any before or since him.

    Love inspires, never requires.

    Thank you,

    Sister Tee

  • people elvis is a alive search it on google you will see.

  • i dont know. yes he got overweight and clearly bad health, but here shows he was stil a lovely charming guy up unitl his death, he seems so sweet and good natured. looks wise, obviously, remember him in the 50s, but wouldnt most people look better when theyre younger? what a loss...

  • God he looked fat and unwell in that video! Better to think of him when he was a young guy just starting out in the 50s; than see him what he had become at the end of his life that video shows too well.

  • Elvis was too polite to say no.

I do not enjoy videos with Elvis fat on stage because you can see it bothers him and it bothers anybody who cares about him.

  • JoanneChristie, im sorry but that is one of the craziest conspiracy theories i have ever heard. He was worth more dead than alive, as much as it pains me to say it he did it to himself, he never got over the death of his mother and when he divorced Priscella it all went down hill and he couldnt recover. He just was too good of person and felt things more than most he died because he gave up on himself.

  • He had such a big heart. He showed such appreciation to her. She has to be almost 40 now? what a memory!

  • Hey Thanks for this video "ANY" footage of him is much appreciated. "NO ONE" can ever take away or deny who he was or who he became.. He has and still is making "HISTORY" ..again "THANKS" for the video it is nice..

  • god he looks aweful old and real fat..

  • Well, just get over it. He never lost his voice. We all will get old, and either fat or anorexic. Yes, he made mistakes in his life, have you?

  • Ready-he wasnt old, only 42 but with serious health problems and overmedicated by a quack doctor he trusted. Alot of us get fatter.People want to hold poor Elvis to some Adonnis standard. He was so graceful and kind here.

  • Elvis was too polite to say no.

I do not enjoy videos with Elvis fat on stage because you can see it bothers him and it bothers anybody who cares about him.

Like to hear Elvis sing? Buy it, play it, do not put him on display like a spectacle.

    Love,

  • agreed-100%

  • Hello, buddy, gave you a green thumb.

Seldom get agreement with my "many" comments.

    :-)

    Thank you,

    Sister Tee

  • with all his problems, he is still so kind and gallant, specially to the girl.

Elvis was and always will be the KING!

  • even though he was was obviously unwell here he was still so gorgeous, he will live forever.

  • yes,...he looks like he can go anytime...you observed it ..why on earth...did not anybody see what we see..and stop any concerts and get him to hospital...somebody had to take charge and say no-man your not fit to stage....thanks for posting

  • The PEOPLE RUNNING THE CONCERTS POISONED HIM DELIBERATELY WITH MERCURY! Elvis spent his time a STAR, POISONED! Compliments of the UNITED STATES INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT! GOOD OLE COLONEL TOM!

  • as much as i'd like to believe you .i think you can tell he had a cardiovascular problem complicated by his ailing liver...who knows lets throw in depression as well....

  • Well for STARTERS that is WHAT MERCURY POSIONING DOES TO YOUR BODY!

  • just explain who would do such a thing..you can see he was deteriorating after 74..unless the presciptions had mercury in them...who knows..i think he never got over priscila..and let himself go..a good woman will do that to a man...pride didn't help

  • for starters you only have to have EXPOSURE TO MERCURY! Thats why they put in all the thermometers! And just leave around where the person sleeps or eats! ITS DONE ALL THE TIME! 80% of ALL THE MERCURY IS IN THE HANDS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY! Now if YOUR LUCKY THEY WILL TREAT YOU secretly! THEY DO IT DAILY! If they did it INTENTIONALLY ITS TOUGH SHIT!

  • Elvis is just so pathetic here.

  • Elvis was part Cherokee Indian, and was very proud of that. It is sad that he ended up like he did, with the pills and all. He truely was an amazing person. There will never be anyone like him. He is the King now,and 4ever!

  • Boy does he look stoned here.

  • always polite. always a gentleman. but has a temper of a lion and alligator combined :) wonderful person. I am like the 100th million person to say this: Elvis is alive!

  • So well-said, Transwired. Huge heart and soul, the kindest of men but no wimp. He was so astoundingly amazed at the selfish opportunism of so many, especially the manipulations of the most trusted Col. Parker. Elvis was just too good a soul, too classy a man, for all those low-lifes using/abusing him. But he's not gone....He's out there. He's here.

  • Have you seen him ?

  • he was worried about the child being taken care of

  • the look on the little girl's face as they're wiping the man-sweat off of elvis is priceless..hahaha

  • Thanks a really interesting clip. Elvis not looking his best but still great!

  • Great clip. To bad he seems so 'out of it' but always gracious and polite. Sad ending for someone so talented!

  • Wonder what happened to the plaque and the girl's souvenier?

  • June 1977?

That's about 2 months before he died, or faked his death if you don't

    believe he is dead.

  • Everybody may say whatever they want about Elvis.

I love him dearly how can that be I never met the man.

How can that be? Pure magic.

  • What a pleasure, I loved seeing this. Never seen before, lovely..thank you.

    Megan/Memphis, TN

  • Say philgoody,go fly a kite in the rain you doosh bag.

  • This is great!Dose anyone know if BMG/RCA will ever do

release this along with fis final performances on dvd-

video? They should be able make ELVIS look a little

bit better around his waist and face.He don't look bad

in this clip minutes before his final shows.

  • I have never seen this video. Elvis was always so polite... There will never ever be anyone like him. God Bless you Elvis

  • Thank you very much for posting such a rare video of Elvis. I love him....

  • thats funny the man walking out the door, at the very end of the video, looks like ron goldmans father

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please view my clip of some unusual movie star trading cards, featuring: Elvis Presley, John Wayne, Clark Gable, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Pat Boone, Brigette Bardot, Yul Brynner, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman and many more.

  • beautiful video blondie, another instance of how shy and polite elvis was.bruce seaton

  • I've seen a lot of Elvis footage but not this, many thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for sharing this vid. I am a big Elvis fan, never seen this clip before. Thumbs up...

  • God bless you Elvis...You are the greatest.

  • Elvis was and always will be beautifull in my eyes...God Bless You Elvis

  • boy oh boy how many people did he need houvering over him? He should of gotten rid of some of those leeches but he was too nice of a person. Anyhow I bet that little girl Monique now treasures that picture.

  • I was at his funeral it was sad:(

  • Elvis looks great. What's the fuss?

  • The rukkus is, Elvis did not look great, God help all who "just could not get enough of him."

  • With all the negative stuff we hear about Elvis' last days, I think we've been brainwashed. Most American men in their 30's and 40's are overweight. He just never looks as bad as I expect. He is 42 here. Still looks better than most men. He probably weighed 240 or so, you guys act like he's orson welles

  • Wow..Irony..Medallion of life...and 2 months later....

  • cool but there's also a colour version of this, I guess.

  • yes but its funnier to color it in yourself, videoshop it and roll over beathoven (3XH)

  • The title "King" is very ironic. That is what he was, a king living in a castle with a lot of psychophants around to cater to his every whim (mopping his brow, lest a bead of sweat doth dare to appear on it) and never telling him the truth and always agreeing with him and telling him how great he was. The tale is positively Shakespearean, and of course it is a tragedy.

  • But know that Elvis hated the term, "king," and never referred to himself as such. Once in concert fans held up a huge sign that read, "Elvis is the King!" And he said over the mic, "No, Jesus Christ is the King. I'm just a singer." In his heart he wanted to be treated as a normal guy, but he certainly did give into everyone making such a huge fuss over him. It would take an extremely strong person not to (because it was quite a fuss).

  • Do either of you know why Elvis was called "King?"

    Love,

    Sister Tee

  • it was a honour bestowed by his loyal fans over the decades--

  • No.

During early 1960s about time of Pat Boone and Beatles about to arrive here, there was a contest for King of Rock and Roll, and Elvis Presley won, big win. That is when he began to be called "King" of Rock and Roll.

    Thank you,

  • EW! And he was only 40. He looks like a very bad Elvis impersonator. Sorry, I love his early stuff pre-1960, he was an important chapter in the history of popular music. But my god, why did he let this happen that he ends of being but a poor caricature of himself?

  • You're an idiot.

  • When most "normal" people gain weight or go through problems, no one acuses them of being a "caricature of themselves." It is only because of Elvis' iconic status that the big fuss is made over the weight gain. He looks pretty good for a fatman. My dad was rail skinny as a kid and now he's got kind of a gut, but family and friends don't shake their heads at him and say, "look at what he's become." No one gives a damn. I love skinny Elvis AND fat Elvis. They're both Elvis.
