To those who said it was from Dave Allen at Large, you are correct. My family used to watch his program of "sit down" comedy and funny little sketches like this one every week. If laughter is the best medicine, then everyone in this sick world should be prescribed a "Large" dose of Dave Allen.
Can we please clear this up? This sketch is from 'Dave Allen At Large'. The chap on the cart is Dave Allen, the German soldier is played by Michael Sharvell-Martin. Neither man appeared in Allo Allo. The show was first broadcast in the early to mid-seventies. When I find the exact episode number, I will post it. Please note that the clip does not contain any of the regular cast of Allo Allo.
You might well remember something similar from Allo Allo, but this clip is from Dave Allen at Large. There was a scene in Allo Allo in which the airmen hid inside a pantomime cow, pehaps that is what you are remembering. It showed a herd of cows marching past Rene. He said, "One of these cows is not a cow. Can you guess which one it is?" At which point a very obvious pantomime cow appeared, and he said, "Well that wasn't very difficult, was it?"
